I am currently a guidance counselor in a school building that doesn't have wifi.

next year I will be in a building that has wifi. When i go into the new building

I get my usual ES symptoms. Any recommendations to combat this? maybe some

shielding products etc.

Are you primarily interested in protecting your office, or everywhere

you go in the school?

There are many shielding garments available. See

http://www.lessemf.com/personal.html for example. But keep in mind:

1- it may be something other than (or in addition to) wi-fi that is causing

your symptoms

2- what part of your body should you shield? Head? Spinal cord? Skin? It is

not clear at all that, for example, ES symptoms in the head are caused only

by microwaves to the head.

Sorry if this sounds silly, but do you know some key person in the school

that you could confide in and explain your difficulty, and arrange to be

based in a building without wifi instead? The snag with shielding garments

is that it's difficult to make them fully effective and they could look

rather odd .... On the other hand, wearing them might be a way of getting

the message across about ES; but since most people are still pretty

sceptical about it, you have to decide what would help your credibility

most. It's frustrating when you've obviously done so well in holding down a

job despite the symptoms.

Good luck - Ian

  • 7 months later...

For sure it is microwaves pulse modulated at ELF frequencies.

The amount of ELF modulation may depend on usage vs idling.
