I have not found this to be the case. If you are following a calorie

restricted diet, then count this towards your daily intake.

If you are actively lifting heavy weights then, it may help you increase

muscle mass which could show up as weight gain on the scale. However, if you

are burning excess fat at the same time (especially if you are on a ketogenic

diet), you may show an increase in weight but a loss of inches.

If you are merely using it as a meal replacement then, no.
