Dr Jau-Fei Chen

Born in 1962, Dr Chen left her native Taiwan when she was just 10 years old.

This move was to pave the way for her exceptional achievements in the field of

Nutritional Immunology.

Training

Dr Chen obtained her PhD in Microbiology from the Brigham Young University, USA,

where she majored in Immunology and Biochemistry.

Achievements

Dr Chen began her career as a lecturer and researcher at Brigham Young

University, USA. In 1987, she founded E. Excel International Group in

Springville, Utah.

Her efforts at disease prevention have been globally recognized. She has

received The Federation of Overseas Chinese Association's " Outstanding Person of

the Year Award " , the 1992 " De La Cruz Award " , the " Annual Model of

Overseas Chinese Youth Entrepreneur Award " and " The China Dynasty Award " . In

1996, she was hailed " Outstanding Woman of the Year " by the American Chinese

Women's Association. In her honor, The Governor of California, Pete ,

declared March 8, 1996 as Jau-Fei Chen Day.

In 1996, her book Plant Foods & Immunology: A Scientific Approach and her

formulation of the beverage Millennium were given the Thesis and Product

Category awards at the Conference of World Traditional Medicine. In 1997, she

became the first person of Chinese descent to receive the " Ten Outstanding Young

Americans " award. Dr Chen also holds a patent for her use of ginseng berry and

cactus fruit. In 2001, her product formulation for the Essence of Knowledge won

the prestigious " Biotechnology Medical Product Quality Award " .
