Guest guest
Water would be a great place to start, half of their body weight in ounces daily. E.g. 150 lb person would need 75 ounces of water daily which is 11 ounces more than a half a gallon. They could also have several underlying health issues and a bout of cleansing would be extremely beneficial. First getting the bowels moving daily then do a colon cleanse, followed by liver (which includes a blood detoxifier with the one I do--Dr.Schultz's) then kidney. After this almost anyone should smell much rosier. Routine colon cleanses and liver cleanses yearly will then keep the body " housecleaned " to where the good health lasts. Does anyone know what would cause someone to have a strong urine or body odor that smells like cat urine or cat spray?. Jeanne

Guest guest
Hi Jeanne, This sounds like another question for Duncan or Bruce. Well, even though your urine isn't dark, how about drinking more water to see if it helps? it proabaly won't hurt. Your kidneys. Is this a relatively new occurrance? Have you been eating/drinking anything different? Are you eating a lot of garlic? When I eat lots of raw garlic, I can sometimes smell it in my waste products. Sorry, but I have more questions than answers, as usual. --- jeanne_simons@... wrote: > Even if the urine isn't a dark yellow and really > concentrated? Guest guest
I found this on line, don't know if it will help or not. Below is the link and partial article. http://www.madsci.org/posts/archives/apr2001/986923402.Gb.r.html Normally, urine has a mild aromatic odor. How strong is dependent on the concentration of urea in the urine. First morning urines are the most concentrated. Urine in a container acquires a pungent odor as the urea breaks down to ammonia due to bacterial action. Various abnormalities contribute to the strong odors which urine can have. Guest guest
Diabetic medicines, as well as other medications, sometimes make the urine smell stronger. Guest guest
I suggest you drink young coconut water. It is very good for kidney and bladder. It also lightens the color of urine. u Re: urine that smells like cat Hi Jeanne, This sounds like another question for Duncan or Bruce. Guest guest
To much uric acid in the system, usually from eating too much meat causes the cat urine smell. --- jeanne_simons@... wrote: > Even if the urine isn't a dark yellow and really > concentrated? Guest guest
-------------- Original message -------------- To much uric acid in the system, usually from eating too much meat causes the cat urine smell. Isn't uric acid what causes gout? Where did you read this or where can I find more information? Thanks Jeanne

Guest guest
Jeanne, Gout is the enlargement of a thyroid gland caused by an iodine deficiency. I believe this was the rationale behind adding iodine to table salt. --- jeanne_simons@... wrote: > > > Isn't uric acid what causes gout? __________________________________________________
Guest guest
I think you are describing goiter. Gout is caused by excess uric acid which cause extreme pain in joints, usually the big toe or knee. My husband suffers from this from time to time. Guest guest
No, you are thinking of a goiter I believe. Gout is a joint condition caused by uric acid buildup. Guest guest
I read that when salt was refined into table salt, it was stripped of all the naturally occuring minerals which included iodine. People starting get sick from iodine deficiencies so iodine was added back into the salt. Man screws with food and always messes it up. ______________________________________________________> > Gout is the enlargement of a thyroid gland caused by > an iodine deficiency. Guest guest
No sugar in coconut oil. None at all. But coconut water has far too many carbs for a diabetic. Coconut water from mature nuts has over a gram and a half of carbs per ounce. I would suspect water from young nuts may even have more. So one 11 ounce serving of coconut water has about 18 grams. That is like eating a bit more than 4 teaspoons of sugar. Alobar Re: urine that smells like cat > > > >I suggest you drink young coconut water. It is very good for kidney and > >bladder. Guest guest
yes it is what causes gout. Guest guest
I think you are thinking about goiter which is enlargement of the thyroid gland. gout is completely different. gout can occur in knees and other joints and is very painful. My dad had it. iodine has nothing to do with gout. gout is from uric acid. --- Pandora <donnamarie_veg@...> wrote: > I read that when salt was refined into table salt, > it was stripped of > all the naturally occuring minerals which included > iodine.
