Hi, I'd like to ask about another possible side effect. I have sleep-onset

insomnia which is getting worse and worse. I think, although I'm not sure,

that it took a dramatic turn for the worse when I started VCO almost two

years ago, although I've had a problem with sleep for many years to begin

with.. I'm wondering if anybody else has found that VCO has contributed to

trouble sleeping.

I use sub-lingual melatonin at bedtime, and do not eat for 4 hours

before sleep, and have no problem sleeping. Eating coconut oil has

cut down on night sweats.

I consume one or sometimes two tablespoons of VCO every night . I have found VCO

has helped in my sleep . I dont see any problem in sleeping after consuming the

VCO . As a matter of facts , I sleep better .

I think its amasing how there are so many with differant sleep effects

from VCO.

Im one who when I first started to eat it,couldnt figure out why I

couldnt get to sleep if I ate it after 5pm or even earlier.

So when a few sites mentioned that some cant sleep because of VCO,I

stopped taking in the afternoon, and now i sleep just fine.

But the first couple of nights I couldnt get to sleep till way past 2AM!

I wonder if me having a normal bedtime of 3-4 AM might explain why

if did not impact me with loss of sleep?

I buy it at the GNC chain of healtfood stores but I have seen

other brands sold in other healthfood stores as well. Melatonin is

not absorbed well from the gut. Sublingual works much nicer. I use

1 mg tablets so I can use as little or as much as I need. Usually 1-3

mg is about right.

Hi everyone,

This is an answer ti the question why VCO of the same brand, placed on the

same room do not solidify at the same time:

First you have to really check if your VCO brand is from a manufacturer or a

trader. a Trader is also a consolidator. Meaning, their supplies come from

different producers often small farmers in the communities doing vco from

different processes.

The reason why most cannot sleep after taking VCO in the evening is: VCO,

when ingested goes straight to the liver, and is transformed immediately to

energy. If you notice, right after taking VCO, you can feel that " instant "

surge of energy.

Alobar, the only sublingual melatonin I have found is peppermint or cherry

flavored. Have you acquired an unflavored kind? Thanks!
