Guest guest
Just me rattling like usual!! I have just changed my way of eating this past year as I got more information and landed on this web site. For me my health has gotten much better as I started to really watch what I put in my mouth. At first I ate about like I always had. Then I started looking at all the man-made chemicals in the food I was eating -- and decided that if it was man-made - it wasn't what God had made for me to eat. Keeping that in mind - I started taking the man-made out of my diet (potato chips --loved the salt), bakery goods (loved that aspertame) - and then I got on this web site and a few others and learned what all the man-made stuff really did to us - poison! So, that gave me the " get-up-and-go " I needed to decide that my body belonged to me - and I would try and find what made me really feel good (and not care what somebody said was good or bad). So, as I started taking bad stuff out and adding good stuff (have been eating butter instead of margarine for years) I added Coconut and love it. It is truly the icing on the cake. However, moderation in all things -- giving my body a chance to change at its pace, and not getting upset over the little things -- (potato chips now taste oily) (bakery goods look greasy) I have no dairy, wheat, sugar, potato. I can hear you grasp and say -- what about your bones -- 15 minutes of sun everyday the suns shines - keeps me in vitamin D3 which is the good D vitamin - instead of the D2 which is man-made and in dairy. I am eating bacon and eggs for breakfast with 1/4 apple with cloves sprinkled on it, and 1/4 orange. I am diabetic -- within 2 hours of eating the above I am in the 90's (I do not take medicines as my change in diet is controlling my blood sugars) By the way - Insulin is supposedly what causes us to gain weight!! there is nothing wrong with finding out what your blood sugars are doing when you eat something, even if you do not have diabetes. You will be surprised at what causes your sugars to go haywire - and the insulin you produce to take care of the increased sugars is what causes you to keep the weight on!! for lunch I do eat - ham, chicken, hamburger with cheese (only dairy I get) with a thick slice of onion. For dinner, I eat most anything I want -- I try to make sure and get veggys - yellow and green - at least once a day. We also eat a couple of cloves of garlic in our salads at night. Garlic is wonderful for keeping us well. We got used to the taste -- and if someone doesn't like the smell - they can go home!!!! I now have heard where the fresh food around the outside isle of our supermarket will now be nuked to make sure we don't get disease!! So - how good our food really is for us -- I question. You can also go to the health food store and grow your own sprouts -- they are good for us and easy to grow. Getting nutrients that I need to live and that get rid of all the junk in the water, air, and food is my goal. There are no quick fixes!!! No such things as me being able to tell you exactly how to solve your problems -- because we are all different -- we have different problems -- I don't have a gall bladder -- so my body really works differently than people who are lucky enough to have one. thea _____________________________________________________________ Turn your passion into a profession.
