Guest guest
I wouldn't have a clue how to email a CD but I can figure out how to work a light switch after I have been shown two or three times. Lol. Check with your local health food store and ask if they have The Enzymedica CD's. They should give you one free if they have them. They company sent ours when we bought the enzymes. Let me know if you can't get one and I'll mail you one. Mike <mikeroyusa@...> wrote:, how did you get the CD? Is it available online? Guest guest
Please list some of the other, fiber filled unrefined foods that you eat. Looks like I need more veggies, which is easy, and more fiber, not as easy. Would love some ideas on that which are low carb. Thanks, Fern :-) Re: VCO detox protocal I agree with what everyone said. What really stood out to me was the lack of vegetables and fiber and raw food! Man cannot live on one serving of vegetable a day! I lost weight using the VCO but my diet is mainly veggies and any other fiber filled unrefined food. I don't touch artificial sweeteners or white sugar. I really think veggies and fiber have a great impact on health and weight loss. Eat to Live by Dr. Fuhrman has great info backed up by references about how important a high veggie and fiber intake is.

I do know how to zip znd unzip files, but in some groups, (like this one), attachments are blocked form being sent. Wouldn't that also prevent zipped files from being sent? --- Rowena <newses@...> wrote: > People can zip the contents of a CD to email, eg > WinZip program. Guest guest
Fern, For adding fiber, I recommend: Flax seed Chia seed fresh coconut WFN unsweetned coconut flakes WFN coconut flour For veggies: Raw, steamed, sateed in VCO, or cutured are the best methods of preparation. --- Fern Francis <ffran@...> wrote: > Please list some of the other, fiber filled > unrefined foods that you eat. > Looks like I need more veggies, which is easy, and > more fiber, not as easy. > Would love some ideas on that which are low carb. > Thanks, > Fern :-) > Re: VCO detox > protocal > > > I agree with what everyone said. Guest guest
Alobar, Your diet sounds quite similar to the Candida Diet and Mercola Diet, which I embrace. However, I seem to have difficulty digesting raw salads. [Years ago, this wasn't as much of the problem it is now.] So, for the most part I sautee my veggies in VCO, and 'flavor' them with cultured veggie condiments. --- Alobar <Alobar@...> wrote: > I eat a low carb diet. Guest guest
, Dr. Wong advocates a n enzyme product called Vitalzyme, which is extremely expensive. I have experimented with Vitalzyme for quite some time, using rather high doses (6-10 caps /day for about a year) with mixed results. I found cultured veggies were to be more effective. However, if you are interested in purchasing and trying Vitalzyme for yourself, I have a friend that sells it for less than you will find it ANYWHERE on the Internet, including the so called 'guaranteed low price' sites. He is part of a wholesale buying club, so he gets it at bottom discount rates, and does not keep any profit for himself. Guest guest
Thats good to know.I dont know enough about the product to decide if I am interested. Maybe for my husband who wont drink kefir. I havent tried the cultured vegetables yet. But I bought a cabbage yesterday with that in mind. I was going to let the kefer go to whey so i can use the whey as a starter as suggested in the cookbook Nourishing Traditions but I lov the keifer so much I havent been able to make myself delay gratification of drinking the kefer to gt started with the cultured vegetables. However I will soon be out of my raw milk and wont get more for a couple more weeks , so I should start the cultured vegetables.Doesnt It take a week to get it done? Guest guest
Well, I don't do the low carb thing. I don't pay attention to that. I just try to stay away from unrefined foods and keep my diet mostly fiberfilled whole foods, and I make sure every meal I eat is at LEAST 50% veggies. I spent my childhood and young adult years overweight, and I lost my weight finally and have maintained it for the past 10 years by eating A LOT of veggies. I also have beans, tempeh, whole grains like millet, quinoa, spelt, brown rice. I have potatos or yams sometimes. I have meat maybe once a week. I have some fruit every morning for breakfast with a bit of veggies. I use ground up flax seeds for extra fiber and omega 3. So really 99% of my diet has fiber. My doc says my blood work is the best ever and I am in better health than I have ever been. The health aspect was just a side effect since I was really more concerned about weight. But now I really enjoy feeling good and when I start eating too many refined foods or fiberless foods, I feel bad and go right back to whole foods again. If you have the candida problem though, your diet needs to be altered. No fruit or grains I think. has the info on that. > > --- Fern Francis <ffran@c...> wrote: > > > Please list some of the other, fiber filled > > unrefined foods that you eat. > > Looks like I need more veggies, which is easy, and > > more fiber, not as easy. > > Would love some ideas on that which are low carb. > > Thanks, > > Fern :-)

Guest guest
, I have made both sauerkraut and pickles from the recipes in the book Nourishing Traditions. The sauerkraut takes a bit longer to develop flavor to its full potential, but the pickles are done within a few weeks (2 - 3 days to ferment and then into the refrigerator). Mine are two weeks old and quite pickle-y. The recipe in the book is a very simple one to follow. -Patty > Thats good to know.I dont know enough about the product to decide if I am interested. Guest guest
, Yeah !!! TN is an EXCELLENT book!!!! When i make sauerkraut, I chop the cabbage into into tiny pieces (like grated carrots), so it takes less time. We start opening/eating it, one jar at a time, within 3-4 days to 1-2 weeks, but ONE week is really all that is necessary. --- Patty T <tri4home@...> wrote: > , > > I have made both sauerkraut and pickles from the > recipes in the book > Nourishing Traditions. Guest guest
Sure, flax and green vegetables all contribute to good fiber intake. But I don't think you will have the effects that Bruce discusses in his book, Coconut Cures, if you " add " fiber to your diet. For the effect he discusses, including the size and quality of the bowel movement, your whole diet needs to be fibrous. Speaking of greens - the best ones are the cruciferous ones (broccoli family: includes collards, kale, turnip greens, watercress, radish greens, bok choy, tatsoi, many others. You'll never run out). Spinach, beet greens and swiss chard have oxalates, so don't count them in as a calcium source; they also can create more acidy conditions in the body. Cruciferous greens have to be pickled or cooked. Steaming will leave them bitter. Boiling is the best way to cook them, as the bitterness is drained and neutralized this way. I learned to cook greens this way from a woman who grew up in the South. It's their tradition. As Bessie (I think it was Bessie!) pointed out, when you cook vegetables so that they are delicious, you eat more of them, and you don't have to worry about nutrients wasted in the water. My own blood work showed both beta-carotene values and folic acid values to be off the charts, many times the Western norm. Nina Re: Re: VCO detox protocal In a message dated 6/22/2005 6:14:49 P.M.
