I can't quote the exact wording for the rules of this list....but...

I specifically recall there being a ban on messages on POLITICS!

I must be stupid, 'cause I thought 'who was running for what'

in the upcoming LPA elections is " POLITICS " !

It's as boring as Bill and !

But I suppose it is dwarf-related!

Written with tongue in cheek!

The rule specifically states:

" Messages of a purely political or religious nature, with no

relationship to dwarfism or even to broader disability issues, are not

allowed. "

In other words, political posts with a relationship to dwarfism are

absolutely allowed. So discussions about LPA politics are fine.

Although I certainly agree with Dave Bradford, the lead administrator

of this list, that that's no excuse to break *other* rules, such as

the one prohibiting personal attacks.

I debated whether to say anything or not given the present climate of the

board but you did ask for comments and you seem to be a person who wanted real

comments and not just support. I'm an avid reader of history and find it

fascinating how history has fashoned the present. I'm very skeptical of major

breakthroughs or controversial theories although they are fun to read. Just saw

a

History Channel special on the different theories about the Lincoln

assassination and how some authors cherry picked letters to make it appear that

there

was a much larger conspiracy than there really was. The " Elvis is not dead "

syndrome was alive and well even then.

I'm sorry left... but otherwise I am OK with this list...

Sometimes I am intimidated by Irene... NOW WAIT... I'm NOT criticizing

Irene! I want to say that sometimes when I disagree with Irene, I feel

intimidated, in that I don't have the knowledge or time to research to

debate effectively.... I find myself getting upset sometimes, though

when I go over the emails carefully, I find that she is not rude at

all. Irene is a strong debater, which is a good quality; but hard to

take sometimes....Max also got me a little defensive a few emails ago;

but I'm sayng that's MY problem... I feel embarassed writing this.

Well, warts & all everybody..... I'm will to give us all some slack!

I'm with Max,

I don't post much, I do read it all, if I can.

(Are we sure himself wrote that letter in question? Seems so different

from the loving, caring T. I am used to.)
