Guest guest
Alot of questions (though not all) have been answered in the archives more than once. If its okay with the list moderator, maybe one of us could download the archives and place them where any of the members could get them & search all of the messages easily at one time using one of the offline reader programs like PG Offline. searches can be difficult and time consuming. I'm using the program PG Offline which is free to use for 30 days. With the group owner's permission one of us could upload the group archives to the PG support site so that anyone interested could go download the file to read and search through all the messages at once. At the very least it would be easier for someone to reference messages #'s of relevant posts. Darrell
Guest guest
Darrell, just to make things clear: I did not " Demand " that my questions be answered. I simply stated the fact that on many occasions, they weren't - this in response to someone's request that we only discuss coconuts here. I've read both Fife's books plus every article available on the Net, including Ray Peat, Enig, Jon Kabara and others, so any questions I would have are not to be found there. ALso, I've been in this discussion forum almost since the inception so I would have known if they had been answered before - they haven't. I am researching coconut oil for a writing project and I have/had questions that could not be found in those sources. I thought it would be quicker to ask the people here than to bother some of the writers and experts I am in contact with. As it turned out, it wasn't. (quicker) To tell you the truth, I find the archives and format very confusing to say the least. Also, I have done searches there for topics I KNOW have been discussed but nothing comes up. And it's almost impossible to quickly find an old thread you are looking for, as they are all mixed up togther. One of the things I disliked about 's old forum was that he always told newcomers to " go and search the archives " because the questions had been asked before. I find that very unfriendly, especially as the archives are such labyrinths of information. Whenever someone has a question which I know has been answered before I simply answer it again - it doesn't take much time, and people feel they have been taken seriously. That's better for group dynamics than silence or sending them to the archives. Sharon
