Guest guest
Just melt your favorite chocolate, I use semi sweet, add about half as much oil as chocolate, add nuts or coconut flakes if desired. Because the coconut oil gets hard when cool..you can really make flavored chocolate oil...I just wing it. Yesterday I made some with 85% cocoa chocolate, add a bunch of oil, sweetened condensed milk to sweeten it and some coconut flakes....yummy. Guest guest
> Hi On subject of candy In a newspaper today, it said they are putting more flavanoids? in chocolate which already contain these apparently, and good for heart, brain, preventing dementia and other things. They are now calling it a health food would you believe. What about the sugar in it though. They did say, stay away from the milky sweet kind, opt for high cocoa 70-85 % kind. But they were talking about making mars bars and the like, with more flavnoids which is only going to encourage people to eat them more and get more sugar. Making candy into a health food, well there's a first, or is it? It took me ages to get off the chocolate. Mind you that receipe sounds nice KC > Just melt your favorite chocolate, I use semi sweet, add about half as much > oil as chocolate, add nuts or coconut flakes if desired. > > Because the coconut oil gets hard when cool..you can really make flavored > chocolate oil...I just wing it. Guest guest
Oh it is good, but you can sweeten it with honey or stevia - the 85% chocolate is not very sweet!!! Or you could buy pure unsweetened chocolate too.. I just happened to have had some condensed milk open from something else - have to admit it does make it better - but I normally try avoiding the sugar. Guest guest
I would do some serious research on Xyitol before jumping in with it. Guest guest
It is one of the better alternatives . I am just a bit leery of anything that is promoted to heavily by the food industry. Guest guest
Yes I used pure organic chocolate powder no sugar , I used stevia which is completely safe sugar substitute and lots of chopped nuts , shredded coconut . not real sweet but very good . --------- Re:VCO Candy receipe > > > > > > > Hi > > On subject of candy > > In a newspaper today, it said they are putting more flavanoids? in > > chocolate which already contain these apparently, and good for > heart, > > brain, preventing dementia and other things. Guest guest
Can anyone help a kitchen clutz? I want to make this candy. I gave it a shot, but it didn't taste that good. I melted VCO, added organic cocoa powder, some sugar, coconut flakes, & walnuts. I poured the mixture into muffin liners, wasn't very good. Any pointers? Thanks, --- <slyan2007@...> wrote: > > > > > > > > > > > Hi > > > On subject of candy > > > In a newspaper today, it said they are putting > more flavanoids? > in > > > chocolate which already contain these > apparently, and good for > > heart, > > > brain, preventing dementia and other things. > They are now calling > > it > > > a health food would you believe.
