I suggest upping vitamin C asap. Moderate C doses don't do much at

all. Take a gram at a time, every hour until you get loose stool. If

no loose stools, up dose to a gram every half hour, then a gram every

15 minutes until you get loose stool. Then back off a bit. If you

get stomach problems from high C, use buffered C.

I would also suggest taking cod liver oil daily. Vitamin D helps

viral infections. I take a tablespoon of cod liver oil every day,

unless I am out in the sun a lot in summer.

Cayenne pepper tea or using it in foods is also a good idea.

Don't take any asprin or other cold remedies which lower temperature.

The body needs a high body temp (over 101) to stop viruses from

replicating.

Thanks Alobar

I've never taken quite that much vit c before. It will be interesting

to see how i tolerate it in high quantities. I did take some

ibuprofen this morning. I do try to avoid taking anything but it gets

into weak points, making everything ache, such as neck etc. I've

heard elderberry extract and olive leaf is good for flu and viruses as

well but i haven't got any at the moment. Viral spikes are covered in

a enzyme called neuraminidase, which helps break down the cell wall.

The elderberry inhibits the action of that enzyme It can stop the

virus attaching itself. If there is any more bird flu around this

winter i wonder if that would be a good one to take. They say it's

only a matter of time before there is a pandemic in the world.

What a good idea.

I'd forgotten about them. I remember taking them years ago and they

worked really well for a cold.

I'm drinking cayenne tea at the moment and i think hubby put too much

in. I said 1/8 of a teaspoon. It is really strong lol That'll make me

sweat.

Have you tried colloidal silver. It's a fantastic antibiotic and antifungal.

I only started using it recently but I swear by it now. In fact I'm waiting

on distilled water arriving so I can make my own. This site has info about

it. www.silvermedicine.org

Hi Sally,

This is all great help from, a lot of careing people. I love reading

this forum. What helps me and my family is pineapple juice. I think

there is something special in pineapple juice, not sure what.It could

be in part due to the vit.C but OJ does not do the trick, it must be

pineapple.

Blessings to you all

I like Carlson's. It is amore expensive than most, but they remove

heavy metals, and add a nice lemon flavor that makes the CLO easier to

take.

I think the constituent in the pineapple juice that gives you the benefit is

Bromelain.

I'm afraid to take colloidal silver. It turns your skin gray.

Lots of interesting info about Bromelain I saw in my search,

Here is one statement I found that might explain why it clears

up the chest congestion...( Since it can reduce the thickness of

mucus it could be helpful to people suffering from asthma and

bronchitis.)...

too much. what do you think about this alobar?

Italinasapphiregirl,

The only condition attributed to excessive intake of silver is

Argyria ( " blue-blood " ). The greyish skin complexion is caused by

ingestion of LARGE silver particles and/or silver mixed with a

protein to keep it suspended in a solution. Eating from Silver knives

and forks, known as the " Nobleman's disease, " from which the

expression " blue-blooded " was derived, this harmless bluish skin

condition is rarely seen today. There are no known instances of

modern, commercially produced electrolytic Colloidal Silver causing

Argyria. If collodial silver turns your skin blue I should look like

a Smurf! I was prescribed silver nose drops for most of my

childhood, for chronic sinus infections, it was the only thing that

would keep me healthy. We went through bottles and bottles of that

stuff and ALL of it was absorbed by my mucus membranes. Fondly, Susie

I take colloidal silver when sick, as a nose spray also……….it’s never turned

my skin any color.

Zoe - " every " day? It acts as an antibiotic, doesn't it? I would be afraid

of killing off too much good bacteria by taking it every day. I hope you

are taking tons of probiotics along with it.

CS is not like other antibiotics, and it only works on contact, it does not

work systemically.
