Guest guest
I have been reading a book called Mastering Leptin; I find many answers as to why dieting (even Atkins) doesn't work for most people. The diet is so simple, and the five rules make sense. I just started this WOE and I'm wondering if anyone else out there has any thoughts or experience with it. Just for your info it seems to make sense to only lose 1 lb. per week and not get so uptight about foods although they do recommend natural foods, low glycemic vegetables and fruits, healthy proteins, and good fats. Oh, and yes regular exercise is necessary. Would like to from others who have tried, or lived this way.
Guest guest
I've been living the " 5 rules " for about 3 years now and never felt better. I also think Wellness Resources (the author's company) makes some excellent quality supplements and I've also used many of them for years. Guest guest
Could someone explain what these 5 easy steps are ?
Guest guest
Hi , These are the 5 Rules for Mastering Leptin: 1) Never eat after dinner. Allow 11-12 hours between dinner and breakfast. Never go to bed on a full stomach. Generally finish eating dinner at least 3 hours before bed. 2) Eat 3 meals a day. Allow 5-6 hours between meals. Do not snack. 3) Do not eat very large meals. Always try to finish a meal when satisfied, but slightly less than full. Eat slowly. 4) Eat a breakfast containing protein. 5) Reduce the amount of carbohydrates eaten overall. Allow 11-12 hours between dinner and breakfast. never go to bed on a full stomach. finish eating at least 3 hours before bed. 2. Eat three meals a day. Allow 5-6 hours between meals. Do not snack. 3. Do not eat large meals. If overweight, always try to finish a meal when slightly less than full. eating slowly is important. 4.Eat a high protein breakfast. 5. reduce the amount of carbohydrates eaten. The book goes into great detail about the hormone leptin and how it affects our weight, health, and discusses at great lenght the research that went into the plan. Thank you for posting this. It sounds interesting and obviously totally compatible with low carb plans. I've ordered the book and look forward to reading it.
