Guest guest
Hi ! Did you say you stopped using vco after three months, started a new diet and then your cholesterol level went up? Don't you think it could have been because you stopped using vco? Just a thought. I feel bad that the prices of vco are making other people stop using it. It is very understandable. On the other hand, it is also very understandable why the prices are sometimes so high: shipping... do distributors have to pay some kind of tariff or tax? I will ask my Mom how much is vco in the Philippines. Last time I asked her, she said it was around $9.40 for 8 fl.oz. As far as I know, it can be found anywhere there: at the drugstores, health and beauty shops, at the mall and even small stores with hundreds of brands to choose from. I think we have smaller choices abroad because only very few are willing to distribute vco. Usually, health buffs themselves. I'm wishing for a trade agreement between the Philippines and North America/Europe. But I'm not sure it's gonna happen, ever... It's the same thing as breaking into the tuna market. For everyone: We have been talking about the benefits of vco in losing weight by taking it so many tbs everyday. Has anyone tried applying it on her abs and see for herself bloatedness going away???Try it! and you'll actually lose the bloatedness. (Well, it worked for me, at least) LOL That was actually a lot of inches for me. I think I have lost 2 inches!!!Apply before going to bed or before taking a shower in the morning. --- Boyce <bibi@...> wrote: > I ask > this because I was told I had a cholesterol level of > 7.4 six months > ago. Guest guest
Hi Genes, Price of VCO in Philippines is currently about 250 php or 5 us$ for 500 ml, or more, depending on the brand. Let me explain you the price structure of VCO. I am going to start importing VCO in Europe ( Belgium and France first) in early october, and I am trying to keep the price acceptable for the final customer. Despite all my efforts for coming on the market with an affordable extra quality VCO, my public prices will not be very different from these of the competitors. Why? Bulk VCO accounts for about 25% of the public price, packaging in glass jars and transportation, for another 25%. After that, in Europe, you have to pay about 12 to 6,8 % of customs duties ( calculated on the price including transportation), and then, about 20% of VAT ( calculated on the price including customs duties). Then you have to face storage fees, distribution, and some promotion costs..... That's why VCO is expensive.A price of 15 US$/ 500 ml or 25 US$/1000 ml is not abusive, believe it. s Re: VCO for lowering cholesterol?/Trimming waistline? Hi ! Guest guest
Oh, no! Not at all. The prices are very reasonable considering the expenses incurred in the distribution. It's just that since I'm not a distributor myself, I didnt have the first hand information to let the end users know. In fact, I commend the distributors for taking the pain of distributing vco. I think, if there's a way that would help bring the prices down, it would be a trading agreement which means lower tariffs (or even tariff free)on both sides: from the origin and to the destination but that would mean government involvement and someone has to take the initiative. I am soooo tempted to write to the Philippine Secretary of Trade and Industry. I am not sure if he's gonna listen to me but...maybe business on a personal note LOL. His niece was my student when I was in the Philippines and I surely know his sister. And in the Philippines, mind you, teachers can go very far when it comes to appropriate requests LOL. I have already used this strategy before. It worked but I was very careful not to abuse it. Is there anyone else here from the Philippines who know any trade agreement on Coconut and other coconut products? --- getehem <getehem@...> wrote: > Hi Genes, > > > Price of VCO in Philippines is currently about 250 > php or 5 us$ for 500 ml, or more, depending on the > brand. > > Let me explain you the price structure of VCO.
