Guest guest
We only rarely have breakages. We double wrap the glass jars in 1/2 bubble wrap. Plastic has it's own set of problems with leakage in the summer and possible toxins. We feel we actually have better results using glass. (We always replace product when it breaks.) Annette Glass vs Plastic Annette, I also prefer glass - but do you ever have any breakage? Sharon Re: Re: RBD oil From: Annette Fischer <snip> On a fairly regular basis I talk with people who have been using an RBD oil, such as Spectrum or Omega, and have switched over to Virgin coconut oil. Hi Annete, I'd like to say thank you for your insiteful writings you have shared in your recent letters here. I sense a lot of integrity in them. One small point though..., I happen to like the omega nutrition coconut oil. : -) Is it fair to call it RBD? All plant oils sold could be called refined by virture of being removed from their natural substrates. My understanding is that the omega oil is expeller extracted from dried coconut and steam deodorized. When I think RBD I think chemicals and solvents. :-( Omega's oil is certified organic, no bleaching, no chemical solvents here. Organic coconuts too. Guest guest
Maybe if you voice your concern over the possibility of the glass breaking from a fall and then they would have to reorder because of the breakage, but if the scrubs are packaged in a very classy, beautiful PET jar that the possibility of breakage from a fall is almost non existent and they would get full value of your wonderful product. This is just my opinion of course, I am sure that you could find some very nice double walled jars around with a very nice colored lid, maybe add an organza ribbon tied in a big bow would make it look " classy " enough. Maybe send in a jar or two packaged in the PET with your husband for them to see ? Glass vs. Plastic I know we've had this discussion before. But I'm stuck. My salt scrubs have suddenly become very very popular with all the women in my DH's buildings. I can't make them fast enough. I've been having to get jars from The Container Store just to fill these first orders. I hated paying the price, which considering shipping and all, it propably wasn't too bad. Plus they were glass. I had always planned to use a heavy walled PET jar, and had been using a smaller thinner welled one up until now, but ran out. The DH made the comment about ordering plastic jars and the women went nuts insisting that all the " high dollar " ones use glass and that glass is more " classy " than cheapo plastic. That the glass would have a better draw. {sigh}
Guest guest
Hi Dawn, This is what I do with the expensive bottles and jars. I tell my clients that if they return their empty jars and bottles I will refill them at a lower cost. It works a treat and I find it much cheaper for me doing it this way then buying jars and bottles all the time. Hugs, .
