Guest guest
If you have a brand name you could search for it. I am allergic to bees not so far to the point I need to use an epipen usually benadryl oral and predisone, will clear up the swelling. I found this product locally and then got some on ebay. It has walnut hulls in it, (i am allergic to walnuts when eating them but not this) and I dont have to take the pred it also is the only thing that will take away the itch of the mosquito bites. and it stops the swelling, doesnt smell or burn. (not sure if this is the same person I ordered from last year mostly just showing you an example of it) If the link is broke Its Mitigator Stops http://cgi.ebay.com/Mosquito-Bite-Treatment-Mitigator-Stops-pain-itch_W0QQitemZ1\ 40002752844QQihZ004QQcategoryZ11862QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem Stuck wrote: > Sorry i know this isn't really right for some of the lists this is going to, however i know there arew people from other countries on them so hoping you can help,, let me explain... > Our 5 year old is HIGHLY allergic to bug bites. we have tried EVERYTHING over the counter. she doesn't need the shot she doesn't go into shcom. the bites just get seriously huge and nasty. If anyone would please look in thier local pharamcy for this. it is the only thing that gives her any relief. we will be in Canada for a week, soon, so going to try there as well. But was hoping someone else might know where to find it? I don't believe it's very expensive, but benadryl, hydrocortizone, neosporin, nothing that comes to the top or even the bottom of your head has ever touched her. She definatly has her mothers gene's. Guest guest
Stuck ~ My husband is also very allergic to bee stings and bug bites. Normally when he was stung or bitten in the past, he needed to go to the emergency room. Since I've been involved with Young Living, he has used a blend called Purification when stung/bitten and it nutrilizes the poisons and takes away the swelling and he does not need to go to the emergency room. I've been bitten by misquitos as well and used this oil blend and the swelling goes right away. It is relatively inexpensive at $18.75 for 15ml which is approx 285 drops. All that is needed is one drop, so it lasts a long time. I blend it with a moisturizer and rub it on while camping and it helps keeps the bugs away and smells pleasant also! It's made of 6 different therapeutic-grade essential oils. You can order it here if you'd like ~ www.totalhealthandincome.com Re: looking for a gel for our daughter If you have a brand name you could search for it. Guest guest
Plantago Major commonly called Plantain- ( not to be confused with the sort of bananna fruit) is a very useful herb that grows wild almost everywhere in the US. pick a leaf- have her chew it to a pulp and place the pulp on the bug bite- this works on spiders, poison ivy, poison oak, mosquitos, etc. It takes the sting away almost immediately and gives the bite a chance to heal. I invited it to grow in my yard even tho most folks consider it a weed. It will grow in barren wasteland as well as wooded areas that get lots of moisture. There is another species called Plantago Lanceolata that works almost as well. Considering she is already infected, why not use your VCO or RAW HOney on it? Guest guest
For anyone, like me, who is allergic to bees and has a adverse reaction to many other stinging bites..try Apis.... It is a homeopathic remedy, made from Apis, which is the latin name I believe for bees. I am deathly allergic, (having only 15 min to get to the hospital) but don't even bother anymore with the shots etc. The last 3 times I have been stung I just used apis and in 20 min's the pain and swelling was going down. I also believe that I am naturally being de-sensitized over time by having been stung, also the bee's here in Fl do not seem to have as strong a venom as the bees in New England. Apis homeopathic remedy should be readily available in any health food store or can be ordered on line - it is not expensive - around $6.00 US. I have given it to many people when they have been stung. SeaLady
Guest guest
that is good to know I am scared if the bee stings me near the throat, my leg will swell fast, my arms take longer. We have black hornets, yellow jackets mostly. I probably have it in the emergency homeopathic kit I have. I will double check and start carrying a vial this summer we already have a lot of them these year. I dont even wear scented deodorant or anything with scents but they still come straight at me. Maybe the red hair? Guest guest
What is Apis? A natural plant?
Guest guest
Oh yellow jackets are just the worst!!!! And thank goodness we don't seem to have them here in Fl. Yellow jackets eat meat...whereas honeybees are vegetarians - so if you are having a cookout or have meat in your sandwich the yellow jackets will certainly RSVP to the invitation you send out!!! Lol I would most certainly carry Apis with you at all times - the vials are so small they can go in a pants pocket or in the purse. I was petrified when we were in Germany - everytime we stopped someplace to eat outside there were swarms and swarms of yellow jackets..to the point I just could not sit there - I usually walked away to eat from everyone else. A big threat was that you had to watch what you were eating so that you didn't end up with a Y.J. in your mouth along with a bite of your sandwich... I would say that the Germans, who are much more " green " than we are have kept poisons out of their environment much better than here in the US and hence many more bees than in New England. Guest guest
Apis is a homeopathic remedy. Homeopathic remedies are made from natural substances...plant, mineral and some of what ails you..almost like a vaccine...as in Apis is made from bees..
