Guest guest
I can't remember who wrote me last weekend and said that Sally Fallon's nutritional advice may not be good for someone with leaky gut or another type of chronic illness. I just wanted to let you know that I ran into someone who had candida vis a vis, leaky gut, for 2 1/2 years and did not get better. She went to an enviromental health center and the dietician there told her to NOT EAT MEAT!! He told her she could not heal from candida because her gut could not heal because of all the saturated fat she was eating on the anti- candida diet. He told her no meat, dairy or eggs...even yogurt. She said she was well in 6 months. He told her she could eat any vegetable and whole grains. So, whoever you are, you may be right about that. Maybe that's why people have such a hard time kicking this thing. Their digestion stays slow and the candida have a feast on the fermenting food. So, I am now a temporary vegetarian and getting my fats from avocadoes, coconut oil, olive oil on my salads, cod liver oil, and a few sprouted, toasted nuts. So, thanks for the advice. Seems like you were really thinking. If anyone who has battled candida and finally is free of it would like to comment, I'm all eyes!!!! Also, in regards to coconut oil's liquification? Mine is solid in winter, but it's liquid all summer and I put it in a squeezy bottle. It is totally dependent on what the temperature. marie
