Guest guest
Hi to you back with a smile, I know that VCO has about 50% of lauric acid. This actually eats the stored fat in your body allowing you to lose weight. So it gives you energy and eats that icky stored fat. I think that you must eat a low carb diet and use the VCO in order to lose weight. I have lost 84#s due to low carb , exercise and VCO and ACV. Take care,Suzzi -- Health and Harmony Hi to all with a smile I am relatively new to coconut oil and am loving it. Its great to do research and learn from others experiences. Have noticed quite a lot of references to weightloss on this site. My understanding is that all food (including VCO) is energy. That is, we eat food to gain energy for daily living. The body processes our food converting it into usable energy. Excess energy intake is stored as fat cells in the body. VCO may increase metablolism and have many other benefits, however, if one continues to take in more than one uses, energy wise, then fat storage is inevitable. I've read that FATS as food sources contain the most dense readily available energy, if so, too much is just that! we need to learn and be aware of quantites. STRESS All our food intake is subject to our levels of mental stress. The Chinese Medical understanding is that each organ has specific emotional relationships. Eg: sadness and grief effect the heart and lungs, anger effects the liver, overthinking upsets the spleen/pancreas. So, as well as achieving a good diet, and in the process overcoming the old bad habitual ways, we need to nurture a Calm and Harmonious mind. Not easy while things are not perfect around us, but we should be aware of our own state of mind and emotions. They have a direct effect on the way our body works. Mind, body, energy, all interconnected always. People with specific serious complaints really need to find a good natural therapist (as well as a good MD / GP). These feelings of unwell may be mental or physical, don't fly blind, get professional help as well as doing your own research. Just some thoughts, hope they're helpful for someone. Rich. Guest guest
*My reason for asking is because I don't think anybody will lose any weight on vco if you just eat tablespoons of the stuff and then sit on the couch watching TV. I could be wrong about this.* On 4/16/07, Resleff Bunch <resleffbunch@...> wrote: > > Yes, I swim three times a week. Guest guest
Suzzi, how do you use the Apple Cider Vinegar? Is it also helping with your weight loss? Or something else? Guest guest
Dear Rich, Thank you for the addition of the stress/chinese medicine component to this coconut oil forum. I had been doing really well with the addition of coconut oil in my diet and on my skin. Then I was walloped with a betrayal and no support from anyone. I have been in a such a state of grief than I cannot seem to sustain a " climbing out of the pit " . So many things seem to go wrong and I feel as though my clawing fingertips get stomped on as I try to pull myself up and out. I was so stressed out and my cortisol levels so high that at one point I was only sleeping one hour a night tops. My chiropractor had me take some things to lower the cortisol levels so I can sleep now but now I am back into my sugar addiction which is SO bad for me in so many ways and have gained 35 pounds. I am trying to get back on the wagon but I am having a hard time. Because of the cortisol overload my muscles that I can see have atrophied so I imagine that that my heart was damaged too. My heart, lungs, liver, pancreas and spleen must be a mess because I am experiencing all the emotions you have listed...grief, anger and overthinking. I've lost the ability to trust. I need to have this calm and harmonious mind because I am slowly dying of a broken heart. Do you have any words of wisdom for me ? -- In Coconut Oil , " richby9 " <richby9@...> wrote: > > Hi to all with a smile > > I am relatively new to coconut oil and am loving it. Guest guest
Cryss, I eat spinach about 2-3 times a week and put ACV on it and drink the juice after I am done with the spinach. I also take ACV tablets three times a day. I don't think its any one thing that causes me to lose weight. I use to just swim and the only thing I did was lose inches no weight. Until I started incorporating all of these healthy things then the weight began to come off Take care, Suzzi -- Health and Harmony > > Hi to all with a smile > > I am relatively new to coconut oil and am loving it.
