Elderly man on dialysis, is VCO okay?

A close friend of mine's elderly father is on kidney dialysis every so

often. He is over 80 and a bit frail. He's had a lot of issues with

depression and just aging.

Would VCO be okay for him? In general, he doesn't seem to eat anything

special. His wife cooks the standard American meals for him.
