Guest guest
RITZCOCO is selling a RBD oil, but I don't like that they claim: " This Virgin Cococnut Cooking Oil Is Made From Our Original Ritzcoco Virgin Coconut Oil BUT With The Coconut Aroma Removed. Great To Fry Food And To Make Popcorn " . This is definitely NOT a VIRGIN COCONUT OIL, see the low price. AGATEGUARD is the same product. Same origin, same design of the ebay page, etc.... Take care that while their price is interesting, you must add 19.95 $ per gallon for sending fees..... eBay brand? What brand are people buying from eBay? I saw two main ones and don't want to buy the wrong thing.
Guest guest
Ritzcoco sells the VCCO which is the cooking oil. It contains 47% lauric acid and the smell has been removed. Agateguard sells the VCO 63% lauric acid and smells delicious. I have purchased both of these. They actually come from the same place both come from a business called Fortunetoys. I have found them very easy to deal with and the products are excellent. They also sell a lesser grade for the purpose of making soap called OCCO. huggs zoe Saturday, November 11, 2006, 5:43:19 AM, you wrote: > What brand are people buying from eBay? Thanks. Guest guest
Kirsteen We'll forget that then. That websites good. I'll save that for when i run out. I've got eight jars coming that I ordered from elsewhere but the discount runs out soon so it won't be as cheap. Looking for a good supplier for the future. The 4 litre one seemed quite good. £10 delivery is not bad. I think for the non virgin one it worked out about £4.00 for 400g It doesn't give you the lauric acid content though does it. If you try it will you let me know what its like. Sally > > > > > Zoe, > > Did you say you bought the Agategaurd vco off ebay. I can't find it > > on the us or uk ebay. Guest guest
Yes off ebay I just checked they are still listed heres the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem & item=120050907897 & ssPageName=MERC_\ VIC_RSEE_Pr4_PcY_BIN_IT & refitem=120043264565 & itemcount=4 & refwidgetloc=closed_vie\ w_item & usedrule1=CrossSell_LogicX & refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget Both the Agateguard and the Ritzcoco are solid below 76F. You place the container in warm water to melt it before pouring out of the container. I pour off 1 pt at a time and leave the rest in the orginal container. There should be only a very tiny tiny amount of polyunsaturated and monounsaturated oils in coconut oil and the Lauric Acid content should be much higher than that. the agateguard is 63% and the ritzcoco is 47% this is the cooking oil And there really is no such thing as Extra Virgin Coconut Oil according to the explanation There IS extra virgin Olive Oil but thats an entirely different process. Lots of folks are claiming extra virgin coconut oil as a marketing technique. You may contact Agateguard by writing here Boba_guard@... . Guest guest
See the yellow color of the oil? this is NOT VIRGIN COCONUT OIL....VCO is white, white and only white.... Anyway, the price they sell it is another indication. They simply CANNOT import VCO from Asia into US for this price. This is food grade cooking oil, that's it. Remember: When the price of an item looks too good to be true, it probably isn't true.... Guest guest
There is a very smal amount of poly-unsaturated oil in pure coconut oil. It depends on the growing contitions more than anything else. It is not added. Cheers, Doug Re: eBay brand? > > What brand are people buying from eBay? Guest guest
Yes, thats what i meant, in your location TT is probably your best bet. I have gotten one that said extra virgin too, doesn't mean its a bad product, its just misleading advertising. The higher the lauric acid content the better the healing properties. My VCCO is 47% and doable as a medicine, but as long as I have the other I will use it.
