Guest guest
I eat/drink it directly, 1-2 tbsp in the morning, and another 1-2 tbsp in the afternoon. A few drops I rub on my face, almost daily, and on my exposed skin, when it is cold. I rub it on my feet 3x weekly before I wear socks in the morning. Occassionally I use it for light frying, and as topping for frozen delights like ice cream. In all these I use fresh-centrifuged VCO, not the common coconut oil. Guest guest
Carla: Here is my favourite way to take Coconut Oil - spread thickly on warm toast and then cover that with Nutella!!! OMG is that delicious. There is something about Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) together with chocolate. I get a fair bit in Coconut Milk Smoothies, melted on warm food, make Mayonnaise with it. Bonnie How do most of you take your coconut oil? I am new to the idea of taking coconut oil on a daily basis and wondered how do most of you do it? I am not up for just eating it off the spoon - that idea totally grosses me out :-) Thanks, Carla

Guest guest
I haven't been doing this very long, and I have never read any of Mr.Fife's books, but What I do is this: In the AM I melt some in a cup of tea (us 1-2 tsp), and lately since it has been cold, I make hot cocoa at night. Here's the recipe I use, I can't remember where I got it, may be on this group: Heat a cup with hot water Put 1-2 tsp coconut oil in the cup add 1-3 tsp cocoa powder add 1-3 tsp whole sugar or at least 1 tsp sugar and then use stevia Stir to make a syrup While stiring, slowly add boiling water. I add some cream intermitently while adding the water. > > I am new to the idea of taking coconut oil on a daily basis and wondered how do most of you do it? Guest guest
I use VCO in strong flavored teas. I also tried frying my eggs in it, but I did not like how crispy it made the eggs. As for using it on other foods, I like my foods to have the natural taste they had, so I do not use it on other foods. So, for me tea is the only way I use it. I enjoy it that way.
