Guest guest
I live in the States Connecticut and my digs water is cold and he refuses pills and has a dry raw food diet. well it's very close to raw, the food isn't store bought but I don't make it anymore either it's in a kibble form. wondering if he would eat it if I smothered it in the oil, guess there's one way to find out. tis that ok to do? how much should I do? he's around 10 pounds and gets 1/2 a cupa day. thanks He has a very itchy coat and is prone to slipping a disk as his great uncle did. any help with getting coconut down this dog would be great S. [lists] Re: coconut oil & dog My dog and I both have a slice of whole grain bread smeared with coconut oil every morning. He can't wait for me to sit down and start eating, because he knows there's one waiting for him, too. I have to discourage him from wanting to give me a courtesy tongue bath when I use coconut oil as moisturizer. He also loves coconut water. He's a true coconut aficionado. It does keep his coat shiny, helps his dermatitis, keep his energy level up even here in Central America where it's a bit warm for a long haired Golden Retriever. Helps his shedding, maybe because there is less scratching, but I still think there's less shedding too. I read sometimes animals shed due to deficient diets. And, yes we feed him organic lamb and rice dog food. Such are events in the life of 'Gideon' concerning coconut oil. One more note. Recently I was at a friend's house on the beach. There are several coconut trees on the property so usually a few coconuts lying around. I watched as one of the dobermans rooted around and pawed at a coconut on the ground. When I commented on the dog's actions I was told his dogs love coconuts and never tire of trying to get one open on their own. Guest guest
If you need some help from me I shall try to do what I can. I am from Malaysia. We have coconut grater here but the quality might not be what you want. Basically it is a simple machine with a circular head driven by an electric motor. The motor drives a pully to turn the grater at a low speed. A plastic basin is attached behind the grater to catch the grated coconut. The whole thing is mounted on a simply stand. The dehusked coconut is broken in half and held by the hands against the grater until most of the fresh is grated. You can grate one coconut in one to two minutes. Should you need further details please let me know. Albert bob ratliff <bratliff@...> wrote: Yes, if I could find one. Guest guest
That sounds like what I am looking for. I only want the head and shaft if the shaft will go into a 3/8 drill. Can you get a picture and price? Best Regards, Ratliff in La Chorrera, Panama Re: coconut oil & dog My dog and I both have a slice of whole grain bread smeared with coconut oil every morning. Guest guest
Will try to find out if they will sell the head only. The ones I saw are complete units. In any case I don't think it will fit 3/8 drill head as it is designed for an electric motor. Will find that out for you too.
