Guest guest
I notice that I feel really great after I eat eggs fried with c.o., and cooking in general with it. However, if I take it right from the container with a spoon, I feel nauseous (even a teaspoonful). Coconut oil will help control the yeast in the intestines and the yeast is most likely what causes the gas production. IN NC

I found putting solid, lumpy, greasy coconut oil in my mouth to be disgusting, and felt nauseated for hours. Then I found that if I melted it in a jigger, I could swallow it with no side effects. Still not tasty, but tolerable. Then I discovered that I could add RDB coconut oil to scrambled eggs in excess of 1 tbsp per egg, with no change in eating quality. I do it that way every day now. Guest guest
Ah ha! I'm glad I can do something else besides fry with it (not that I'm knocking frying, mind you :-) ). I forgot that it's also great in smoothies. I just got tired of drinking them, so was using the C.O. in cooked food. Don't flame me, but my deepest darkest secret is that I still drink coffee (YES, I own and have read NT). I wonder if it'll be good with that, in addition to the cream I use? Or at least help me feel less guilty? Naomi Wilkins <montemomma2002@...> wrote: > >Try taking it in a cup of chai tea. just melt a couple of teaspoons of VCO in your tea. Guest guest
I thought most people would have a thing or two that they eat that's not exactly NT-approved, but I have yet to see anyone admit to drinking coffee, so I'm a little embarrassed to admit to it. I've given it up several times, once for as long as a year, but life just wasn't the same when I didn't have a cup after breakfast. It didn't help that my ex-husband was in the coffe business, so he got me hooked on good, freshly-roasted coffee (his company used to roast at least twice a week). Funny you should mention chocolate--I hardly crave it anymore since going NT. Now I like things that are creamy and/or coconut-y . Does anyone have a good coconut pudding recipe they can share?
