I give my dogs 1 tsp MSM powder , for ther itching get MSM cream as well althoutgh just rubbing CO may be all he needs , my friends dog was completely healed from itching bloody raw, no more itching and nice clean skin now ( he is a Westie and they have pink sensitive skin0 the horse I do not know but I would add some and rub coconut oil in the tail too . The racing horses trainers use or at leat used to DMSO in the the horses legs , that is a part of MSM .
