Root canal infection prevention

About 6 months ago I began having problems with a lower molar it

became hot and cold sensative and then began to hurt. I went to the

dentist who said I had a crack in it . He drilled it out and tried to

repair the crack by filling it.The pain became progressively worse

and he tried grinding down the filling thinking I was grinding my

teeth at nightputting pressure on a filling that was a little bit

packed too high.It helped but not much. He finally took x rays and

declared the root dead and said I needed a root canal.

I am a " Weston Pricer " and am fully aware of the dangers of root

canals.I read Root Canal Cover Up.

But dang it I had just gotten my crooked teeth straitened in the past

2 yearsand also knew if I puled the tooth I couldnt leave it empty.

Id probably need an implant...but they also come with the problem of

having a foreign object in my body. A bridge might work.

So I called a friend,DaddyBob ,who is also a " Weston Pricer " .Hes been

through the wringer as far as health problems are concerned and has

conquered many of his health problems using natural methods like

herbs and Beck blood electrification.

He has several root canals he constantly deals with to keep the

infections that DO exist in the infections under control .He

explained that no matter how well a dentist cleans it out and packs

the filling(Gutta Percha) into the root canal, the gutta percha and

as far as we know, any other filling material for the root canal,

will shrink and provide a space where bacteria can live and reek

havok on your body. Your immune system , if it is strong may be able

to controll this, since some people seem never to have ill effects

from a root canal. But if you are ever weakened the bacteria are

oportunistic and will do dammage.

Below is his protocallon how he takes care of his teeth before or

after a root canal to control infection.I have been following this

protocall since November and havent had any problem with my tooth

since I began following it.I may still have to have a root canal at

some point , but Im trying to avoid it. I too am not sure whether my

tooth root is truely dead or if the body can regenerate the tooth. We

do know that teeth can remineralize from a cavity . As long as there

is no pain or problems from my tooth I am going to avoid the root

canal.I will let you all know if my " Grand experiment " works.

If it doest, I will have a root canal. If the root canal gives me too

many problems , it can be extracted later. Then I will try the

implant , If that doesnt work then there is a bridge . if that doesnt

work Im toothless..lol

From Daddybob

This is not medical advice, just how I would do it it if were me.

I know you are twisting in the wind about this, so I thought I'd

write a

synopsis of what I tried to tell you yesterday.

1 I'd definitely save the tooth by root canal and crown before I'd

pull it

and consider an implant. If anything else goes wrong enough, you

still have

that option.

2. I'd look into alternatives to Gutta Percha, but if I wasn't

satisfied

about those alternatives, I'd have the gutta percha put in. You still

have

later options.

3. xxxxxxx was my Endodontist. Back then he was one of the few in

ILM, now there's several. I am in favor of root canals being done by

endodontists, not gp dentists.

4. Stop using any toothpaste with flouride or even glycerin. They both

prevent natural remineralization and they will prevent the

penetration of

antiseptic oils. Antiseptic oils, particularly oil of oregano, will

penetrate teeth and kill infections, even under crowns. I use pure

coconut

oil soap lather made with colloidal silver most of the time or H2O2

occasionally, then add a drop of Oil-of-Oregano(O-o-O). I try to

brush with this once a day.

I'm now experimenting with Tea Tree Toothpaste, also looking into

recipes to

hopefully make a decent tasting toothsoap sweetened with Xylitol and

possibly preserved with maybe grapefruit seed extract.

5. For quick infection relief: Buy O-o-O in a bottle with an eye

dropper if

you can find it that way, otherwise get a dropper for it. I use the O-

o-O

from www.msm-msm.com. Put ONE DROP of O-o-O on a Q-tip and swab the

tooth

and gum. Put ONE DROP of DMSO on the other end and swab same area

with it.

Do this maybe 3-6 times, but only once a day. If you don't get relief

soon,

it's just not working for you or the infection is very deep.

6. Last but maybe most important: If I had it all to do over again,

I'd do

number 4 & 5 for as long as I could. I am not convinced that a tooth

root

cannot regenerate, but it's too late once they've been Root-Canaled.

As for a

crown, if the tooth already has a huge mercury filling, you may have

to have

a crown anyway, I just don't know. When the fillings are huge, and

the tooth

cracks, it may be the only way to save the tooth. I've had molars to

fall

all to pieces while I was eating, and you don't want that. I'd rather

have

crowns and take care of the rest of the tooth than have cracked teeth

with

leaking mercury fillings.

However if you get a crown without a root canal, infection will form

under

that crwon if you don't do 4 & 5, and I have had it to happen, but I've

also

killed that infection by practicing 4 & 5. Also, a tooth that has a

crown can

be root-canaled later; I have two that were done that way.

HTH, Bob

I would suggest that if your grand experiment does not work that you

consider getting the tooth pulled, rather than getting a root canal.

Just because the tooth does not hurt does not mean it is not causing

systemic damage.

Yes ,I do worry about that posibility. I guess I am hoping my immune

system will fight off the bad effects.

You could try the new stem cell regenerators - it regenerates your OWN stem

cells. Stem cells have the remarkable potential to develop into many

different cell types in the body. Serving as a sort of repair system for the

body, they have the potential to either remain a stem cell or become another

type of cell with a more specialized function, such as a muscle cell, a red

blood cell, or a brain cell. For example, if there is damage to the retina,

stem cells can go to the eye and become a retina cell instead of a liver

cell. If there is damage to a tooth root, then the stem cells go there.

The body, in its infinite wisdom, gets to decide! This is a good one -

encourages 70% more growth of your stem cells.

That is interesting but rather expensive. $1.00 a capsule is a little steep for

my budget.

Thanks.

Depends on how you look at it I guess - personally I think it would be worth

it if it would prevent having a root canal and all the problems that go

along with getting one.

Carol's right about stem cells being helpful; a little known fact

is that as electricity prevents or controls infection in the jaw

or other bone, it will dedifferentiate some normal cells into

stem cells. I think colloidal silver does too; this is explained

in Dr. O Becker's book Body Electric.

Since electrical current works about 100% of the time regrdless

of where in the body you apply it, it's worth a look. I recommend

and use the tools from SOTA instruments; we've used a Beck

magnetic pulser and a blood electrifier on six jaws and also

saved two legs from amputation, and have used low current on

other injuries to kill infection as well.
