Guest guest
Hello all. I have been using VCO for about a week as a lotion on my face and legs. I have already seen an improvement in my cellulite. It looks less dimpmly than before. However, last night I used this before going to bed and I was burning up and ringing wet. I'm too young for hot flashes due to menopause, so I can only assume it's from the VCO. Is this common?? Also, when I have some in my oatmeal in the morning, I find myself running to pee every half hour or so. Sorry to get graphic folks! Has anyone else experienced something like this? Thanks and have a great day!
Guest guest
: I think VCO does have an impact on hormones but I don't know enough about it to say actually HOW it would happen but I did read something the other day and I mentioned it to Dr. Fife. Just a minute and I'll track it down. Oops, not what I thought it was. It was actually about Red Palm Oil which Dr. Fife is also interested in, which DOES have some effect on Hormones in THIS WAY - " Phytosterols in Red Palm Oil help balance the ratio of Cortisol to DHEA " There is also Sterolins, Tocopherals, Tocotrienols and Co-Q10 in Palm Oil so I would suspect there is also GOOD STUFF FOR HORMONES in Coconut Oil as well. But I sure wish someone would actually explain it to me. Not enough research has been done, I guess. Bonnie hot flashes and excess water Hello all. Guest guest
Thanks for trying to help! I can tell that sometimes during the day after I've ingested some, I also get hot flashes. Maybe it's my body getting used to it or the extra energy burst people are supposed to get when taking this. I don't know but I'm keeping track of it! Thanks, > > : > > I think VCO does have an impact on hormones but I don't know enough about it to say actually HOW it would happen but I did read something the other day and I mentioned it to Dr. Fife. Guest guest
Hello, I have some suggestions from personal experience. Hot flashes and edema (water retention); 1) Bring one Quart of water to a boil. Add 5 heaping spoonfuls of loose sage herb and simmer for 30 minutes. Drink a cupsul in the morning and during the day. Sage is wonderful for us anyway but is also an anti-diaphorectic. 2) When I couldn't be making or drinking tea I would take some Sage and honey balls. Mix 5 heaping spoonfuls of lose Sage herb with enough honey to make it stick together. I put them in a baggy or small container and chew one up every once in a while during the day and drink a glass of water or tea afterwards. 3) For bloating, edema and water balance use dandelion. Most physicians prescribe Lasix (furosimide) a diuretic. The problem with Lasix is that it depletes your natural K (potasium) stores. With dandelion you won't have this problem. It is very helpful to include parsley which is another diuretic. Each herb has many other terrific qualities which I won't go into here but you can look them up. Good luck and I hope these help you as much as they did me. We are all a bit different so ya' never know but I do love herbals and with some putzing around with what your body truly needs they can do wonders. Guest guest
Excess water can be dealt with by increasing potassium as says; we use " No-Salt " potassium salts to cook and eat food with instead of table or sea salt. This in addition to eating lots of potassium- containing vegetables. Several ladies reported hot flashes going away, along with other markers of menopause, and their figures improved as well, with SomaLife gHP, a trigger for natural HGH release. A few started menstruating on time again even after going " dry " the year before and struggling with menopause for 8 years; they actually became about 8 years more youthful in less than a year and mensing is just a natural part of not withering away and dying of old age younger than you have to. Guest guest
I make a 50:50 mix of sea salt and Potassium Chloride which I grind together in my blender. Tastes good, and is easier to use than the coarse sea salt. Guest guest
Alobar, tell me, please, where do you get KCl? Thanks, Pasha Re: Re: hot flashes and excess water I make a 50:50 mix of sea salt and Potassium Chloride which I grind together in my blender. Guest guest
So what is a good brand of the Red Palm Oil? I¹m all ears about all of this...and trying to gather a group of support to help me stay true to 3 weeks of the ³phase 1² of the diet in Dr. Fife¹s book.... Once I have done that successfully for 3 weeks, (and hopefully have lost weight?) I hope to move on to phase 2. If I¹m losing well on phase 1, I may stick with it awhile. I have so many odd issues, that for me I decided it was best to plan on 3 weeks and then proceed from there... I mainly have a problem with not eating / hardly eating (which is related to why I have this weight issue in the first place I think) and sporadic eating. But even when I eat sporadically, it is not like I¹m eating big to make up for skipped meals. It¹s complicated to me and I¹m sure seeking advice......
