Guest guest
Dear , VCO has a minimum shelf life of 3 years and may extend to even a longer period. Plastics, (and this includes the food grade PET jars and bottles) have a maximum shelf life of only 6 months. When VCO in plastic packaging " over extend " its stay inside that plastic jar or bottle it gets contaminated with plastic residue and sometimes smells and taste like plastic. Our brand is package in glass bottles domestically and even those that we send abroad. However, there are others who prefer plastics because of the heavy weight of the glass jars in shipping. Its then advised that when you get your oil in gallon pails, you may transfer them in smaller glass jars if you are going to store them. Guest guest
> Hi, Tess That's interesting. No wonder most of my vco i've ever bought in plastic gives me catch throat, 6 months!! i bet most of them have been in storage longer than that. I'll stick with the glass jars, although i'm having trouble getting hold of this now, everyone is out of stock, so have bought a few in plastic jars to keep me going. That is why i never buy big tubs in case they are already rancid. Thanks. > Dear , > > VCO has a minimum shelf life of 3 years and may extend to even a longer period. Guest guest
Group, Tess, The question for me is that I have about 3 quart glass jars (unopened)that are all liquid right now and have been that way for a few weeks. Stored in a slightly warm dark cabinet. Should I store them in a cooler place where they are solid? Second question is: In the mornings the oil that I am using (opened jar) is solid but by afternoon is liquid.. Is that OK that it changes back and forth. All my oils are in glass jars. Last question will the taste be affected by the sleeping and waking of the oil? > Dear , > > VCO has a minimum shelf life of 3 years and may extend to even a longer period. Guest guest
Dear , Cocovida is one of the companies with whom we have shared our method in processing the COLD PROCESS-A NO HEAT Method. There are 40 other producers here in the Philippines today that are following this VCO process and we are honestly very happy for them. We do not only promote our individual products but we ALL ADVOCATE for the cold process VCO. In behalf of all the ANH-VCO producers thank you to you who have chosen our kind of VCO and for going out of your way to vouch for the product. There are a lot in this forum like you who use this kind of VCO, and we send it to them directly from the Philippines. And we are happy to note that these " converts " of the ANH-VCO are happy and satisfied with the products. Most if not all Cold Processors, specifically the ANH-VCO producers use glass bottles packaging. Regards, Tess
