Hi Susie,

That's great your dad is so healthy.

You spoke of the dangers of colouring your hair. I've been

colouring my hair for years. What's the alternative. It is so out

of condition now and dry even with coconut oil treatments. I could

just go grey but what girl wants that.

Have you ever tired to put the coconut oil on your hair, wrap in in saran wrap,

put a warm towel over the saran wrap

Also I found out quite by accident that if I wash my hair less often it is in a

lot better shape.....

(I wear a clean room suit at work) I rub a little coconut oil on my hands then

thru my hair, pu my hair to the top of my head, by the end of my fourth day my

hair is thicker, has a really nice sheen, no flaky dandruff

I guess what I am doing is having my hair take care of itself..

i am sure your father thinks about quitting smoking everyday! it is good that he

is eating

healthly. he probably feels guilty to what he is doing to his body... i am

100% positive it will

not last forever. smoking is so very bad, i know because i quit after 17 years.

i thought i was

healthy until i quit. but it does catch up with a person.

I don't think he is feeling guilty of smoking at 80 years old... I think he is

living his live the way he wants to..

I wish people would get off the smoking is the only thing bad for you. There

are a lot more htings causiong things to go wrong...

Get off the Smoking thing... Sorry if this offends anyone, but smoking is not

the only cause for health problems....

Does any one here know about passive smoking?

it is involuntary breathing of smoke(of ones cigaret) by other people.

it a huge topic to discuss about, but let me tell you one thing about

it,the smoke contains about 4000 chemical compounds out of which 60

are known carcinogens!!

passive smoking(also called as secondary smoking)leads

to-stroke,breast cancer,cervical cancer,miscarriages,asthama etc in

adults & adverse effects on cognition,

behaviour,meningococcaldisease,giueear etc in children!!

Let me tell you one more thing, In India coconut oil is mostly used as

hair oil, infact whenever you talk about co(over here) is considered as

hair oil!!

Actually I herd of edible use of co for 1st time on this grp!!

so dont hesitate to use co for hair,it works.

Yes, it does, even my fine fly away, easily tangled, very long hair. It has

made it manageable and healthy looking. I love the way it feels now. No more

tangles, no more fly away, no more frizz. Yeaaaay! I also eat it, rub it

on my skin, use it on wounds, put it in my eyes, between my toes, etc, great

for nails too. O and btw its my favorite cooking oil. LOL

Love my VCO
