Atkins is low carb just like an apple is a > fruit. your version of low carb probably isn't unhealthy because you are including lots of fruit and veg, and you seem to agree with me that most fruit and veg are low carb. I know 5 a day is just a figure, as someone pointed out but it's the array of antitoxidants that 'some' low carb followers will miss out on if they choose to omit alot of fruit and veg because they see these as high carb. I mean surely just omitting the bread and grains etc is enough. Anyway, people seem to have different low carb regimes and i expect there is a lot of disagreement even among the various groups. As long as people feel healthy whichever way they do it, is a good thing.
Guest guest
I am a good example of raw foods gone bad. I never had one temptation to cheat and was raw for six months. I noticed that my clothes were tighter... Before I knew it, I had packed on a good 15. Fruit/veggies only. I avoided fats...very disappointing. 'Fraid not - 'most' fruit is high carb - sugar loaded. All starchy veg are high carb. what said was that the majority of fruits, vegetables and nuts that she chooses to eat on Atkins are low carb.. Guest guest
PLEASE no one take offense but isn't this all a little counter productive???? We are here to share info....and no two of us are alike....I have found so much info on here that is new to me....as an example the whole Splenda myth.... This is a forum for sharing info and if someone on here does not like another's info, then by all means show, write, prove a difference of opinion....but without stating absolutely the other person is wrong. BUT please all these e-mails bashing one another are just getting depressing... Every single one of us has the right to our own opinion and we are simply all not going to agree with everyone else... Different strokes for different folks....plus no two of us has exactly the same health issues.... I personally have had, when I asked a stupid question....and please don't say there are no stupid questions because the response on here was extremely rude - I felt awful that people wrote short, curt rude remarks back...and were basically saying I was stupid.. This has happened to me more than once. I am beginning to wonder about the tone of this group. I am here to learn, not to get bashed and not to see others getting bashed. Perhaps we could all take a moment to have a more pleasant and tolerant tone. Live and Let Live.... SeaLady
