Guest guest
What is Coconut Paste? So you're saying you would use whatever NUT you wanted in a grinder, then some VCO then Coconut Paste. Where do find this product? Sounds yummy. You know what I LOVE. Warm toast with lots of VCO, topped with Nutella. OMG is that delicious. So let us all know about this Coconut Paste please. Thanks, Bonnie Re: Colds.... using VCO Doug's ahhhh gulp.. recipe sounds hmmm interesting....lol but if you are not up to making it I would give the wild oil of oregano capsules a good shot - I take 2 of them 4 times a day whenever I even feel like I am coming down with a cold. I also take a maintenance dose of twice a day whenever I travel, especially on a plane - yuck to that air!!! I also pick up and keep on hand Kold Kare - it is an herbal tablet that you can find on line or at the health food store - between the two of those and the VCO I rarely get stuck with a cold or virus. Also taking a very long hot shower or hot bath will do a complete re-circulation of your bodies blood - giving you an extra " cleansing " of your infected area. This also works on any external infected area you have on your body - the old soak it an make it better - the clue is - it needs to be for 20 minutes to be really effective. Hope you feel better. Oh and since you like PB & J sandwiches, have you tired making your own nut butter using VCO for the oil and coconut paste for a little sweetening??? It is fantastic and of course I put VCO down prior to the nut butter on toast or sandwiches - yummo!!! SeaLady
Guest guest
I bought my coconut paste from Tropical Traditions - it is the consistency of a very dry peanut butter and is fairly sweet from the natural sweetness of the coconut meat. You can also use this to make coconut milk - just add water..and it is very, very yummy, the kids all love it and ask for it on crackers instead of PB!! I think some of the health food stores might have it and maybe Tess does too at Viviendo?? SeaLady
Guest guest
SeaLady: I have not seen this product here in Canada yet, and if it is high in carbs, I'll just put it out of my mind. Will you let me know the carb content? Thanks, Bonnie Re: Colds.... using VCO back to sealady I bought my coconut paste from Tropical Traditions - it is the consistency of a very dry peanut butter and is fairly sweet from the natural sweetness of the coconut meat. Guest guest
It only has 1.1 gram of carbs per tsp....they actually call it coconut cream concentrate, I have not used it to make coconut milk, but have used it in several recipes including my nut butter and just straight on crackers. Guest guest
SeaLady: This Coconut paste, is it creamy and spreadable or dry and crumbly?Do you know where I might find it online? I'm in Canada. Guest guest
The paste/coconut cream concentrate is spreadable, somewhat dryer than peanut butter - if you wanted to use it just as a replacement for peanut butter - I would add a tiny bit more oil to it, or mix with peanut butter or your homemade butter as I do. I have bought it from Tropical Traditions, I didn't see it listed on Viviendo's site (coconuthaven.com) but what I did see on there is that they have a sweetener made from coconut sap. Has anyone tried this??? I'll write to Tess and ask her. You can order from TT or Viviendo, who will send you to a local distributor, I do know there are some in Ca. Guest guest
SeaLady: I forgot to ask you what the Carbs were listed as, on the Coconut Cream paste label, with Diabetes, that would be good to know.
