How is THAT kind of entertainment is not demeaning or lowering of standards?? ::scratches head:: Well, I always thought demeaning is the same as degrading or " humilating " (you may say " humbling " ). I would rather watch the Weather Channel. ;-) A guy friend of mine who is not short stature caught it and thought it was rather degrading. Fred Astaire is known for the song " That's Entertainment. LP's are entertainers. so are BP's. from fred's list, it's obvious that there are many <and some unmentioned> accomplishments and occupations held by LP's. many of these same positions are held by BP's. i know i'm simplistic, but in my happy corner of the world, people are people. they might be shorter or taller, fatter or thinner, smarter or not half as smart as i am-- but when it comes down to the wire, they are people. period. i tried to teach my own kids to take pride in themselves, not for their ancestry, or their skin colour or the way they look, but because they worked to make a good impact on the world. to take pride in what they were able to achieve; to take pride in helping others; to be proud of using their intelligence to solve a problem. pardon me while i go find my asbestos underwear now....<G> whims Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
