Thus spake the hypocrite. I don't disagree with your comment, Tony, but I

would point out that you have demonstrated highly *classist* tendencies

yourself, which are just as bad. Should we remove you too?

You mean to tell me you consider Classim to be on the same level as Racism?

I may be a snob, but not a rascist!

We can all find something said or posted of which we take umbrage if that is

what we want to do.

My grandma used to say, " If you look for bad in others that is all you will

find, but if you look for good in others that is all you will find. "

I have been called about every name known to the human race at one time or

another. Once you grow up and mature those things do not or SHOULD NOT impact

one's life.

While I whined and whimpered about it and demanded redress and apologies for

those things when I was a juvenile; once I matured I discovered it does not

matter what others say to/about me and only thing that matters what I think

about and view myself.

The verbal " attacks " here also remind me of a childhood saying... " Sticks and

stones will break my bones..... " You all know the rest!

Oh and I have a last name too just in case that were to be an issue with anyone.

It is GILLUM :-)

banning Racism

In a recent attack on a member of this list the phrase " Asian Mafioso " was

used as an attack on a member who is indeed of Asian descent.

I myself being half Italian object to the " Mafioso " comment too.

Racist tendencies are common in America, however, I think that anyone who

uses them here shouldn't be merely monitored, but removed from the list.

Both classism (sic) and racism are born with the same mother and father who,

IMHO, had to be brother and sister themselves. " Ignorance and Stupidity " were

their given names.

So I guess they are closely related. By the way, there are also other siblings.

Neither are counted as friends with those who have an IQ larger than their shoe

size.

Tony, you tried to post something to the effect of " she probably comes

from a trailer park " about the person you labeled a racist. If that isn't

classism (not to mention hypocrisy), I don't know what is. You really

ought to get your own house in order before criticizing others.

My house is in order sir, I also think that you use your volunteerism as the

moderator to air your personal views. Much like the way Rupert Murdoch bought

newspapers to propel his own beliefs and conservatism.

If you're going to moderate, then moderate. If you're going to use this as a

tool that you control then you should relinquish the reigns to someone who is

objective.

You seem to have a thing for me, I'm sorry, I rebuff your flirtations.

I thought Dave’s comment was on target and I think he moderates this

page with a very even hand. That’s my 2 cents if you’re counting votes,

Tony.
