Guest guest
My daughter is 12 next month and will not be fully diagnosed until after her birthday. My husband is achondroplastic and my daughter was checked and measured for six months after birth. I was assured she did not have any problem of this kind. When she was 7 she was diagnosed with multiple hereditary exostoses at the same time as my husband was diagnosed with this. Again I was told she was not achondroplastic. This year a specialist said he thinks she is achondroplastic or pseudoachondroplastic and will not grow any further, she is 4'6 " . There doesn't appear to be any support groups here in Australia and I was wondering if anyone else has had similar problems with diagnosis/misdiagnosis.
