I was going to add the same thing!!! Barty said Attila-the-Hun

was a dwarf!! I always say, when I'm faced with situations that

make me very angry, " Now I know why Attila-the-Hun got

so mad!!!! " I guess he did all his killing for me (us)!!

He's attributed to killing (he & his armies) more people than

WWI, WW2 & all the wars combined!!

I had a co-worker who was an lp (achon), that was sent to jail for a couple

years for child molesting. The DA argued that, because this LP was so small he

couldn't get an average sized person to love him (he used " normal " sized) so he

turned to children. The " victim " was the daughter of an ex brother-in-law and

she admitted to lying about it AFTER this guy spent three years in jail.

I had been working on this guy to join LPA but hadn't had much luck. I have

since lost touch with him.

I know this wasn't exactly related but it reminded me of him.

The really sad thing about your co-worker's situation is the fact that not

only did an innocent person spend 3 years in hell with the tag of being a

child molester, but unless he was found innocent and all charges dropped

he's going to be labeled that no matter where he lives because of the law

that requires police to notify neighbors when a child molester moves into

their neighborhood. Not to mention the fact that because she lied she helps

to discredit future molestation victims. It just like when women file false

rape charges, then when a woman truly is raped she may not be taken

seriously.

I cannot believe we may have to deal with another myth about us and this myth

can be very damaging!!! Especially for the LPs whose profession is working with

children. Was this DA called on the carpet for making such a statement? Did

the LPs lawyer object to the DA making such a statement? Where other LPs and/or

People representing the truth called to the stand to dispute the statement?

Probably because most LPS have a better handle on having a

disability. We have grown up being vertically challenged...and we

have adapted to this world...unlike this person...we don't try to

adapt the world to US. I understand his reason...but he went about

this all wrong. Maybe if he had met a little person, he would have

seen that there are people who can over come difficulties, and give

him hope and a new direction in life.

The charges were dropped after the girl admitted she lied but my friend

lost his job and spent 3 years of his sentence in the state prison for a crime

he didn't commit.

In this country were people sue for stupid things like spilling hot coffee

in the lap I would think that he had a pretty good lawsuit against the

girl's family and the company for wrongful termination. I just hope that he

has been able to get on and lead a normal life in spite of what has

happened.
