Guest guest
I saw Lord of the Rings today and I give it two thumbs up! Unlike Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, I was able to pay attention to the storyline instead of getting lost from concentrating on the special effects. I haven't read LOR since I was young so I forgot about most of what had happened, but my parents and a family friend of ours went with me, and they all said it was one of the few movies that they considered to practically quote from the book.... I also saw the previews to the new Austin Powers...hehehe....when I first saw the scene of the feet of Mini Austin I said to myself " Oh God, this is what the listserv is complaining about! " ...then they showed the whole preview and I loved it! I thought it was hilarious! They were NOT poking fun at lps, it was at the movie entirely. And since MiniMe was such a famous character from the first one, I am not surprised that they'd extend it a little more in their ad. It was tasteful, funny, and eventhough I only laughed about 5 times in the first one, I will give the second one a try too Anyhoo, that's my movie critic's opinion of the day... Gretchen ps. Has anyone seen " ALI " yet? I'm one step away from stalking Will *drool* and was wondering what ya'll thought about him portraying Ali. I think is one of the few " true " actors/musicians out there and eventhough I haven't seen it yet, I already feel that he did a great job before and during the filming.... http://www.geocities.com/elfsnot20 " History is the ancient author:experience is the modern language " - Lord Bolingbroke " Explaining is not excusing; understanding is not forgiving " - Browning " The church says that the Earth is flat, but I have seen the shadow on the moon and I have more faith in the shadow than in the church, " ~Ferdinand Magellan~ ---------------------------------
