Guest guest
Well, I called my primary care doctor today and they said come in this afternoon. Gee - I wish you could see a rheumy like that!!! Anyways, he walked into the room and said " Boy, there are a lot of sick people in here today and you look as bad or worse than all of them! " I said, " Gee thanks - guess you know how I'm feeling then " My Dr. is such a nut! I told him about feeling lots worse in general and about the knots. He felt them and said it's the rheumatoid - that the joints are inflamed. His treatment is up the prednisone to 20 mgs again and he gave me some new pain meds. He said that federal law now says you can't give narcotics long term, but that he knows how much I'm hurting. The new pain meds are supposedly stronger - and I only take them every 12 hrs. I forgot the name and had to leave the prescription overnight to be filled. I have been taking Norco. The new stuff starts with a C I think. I guess my Enbrel has not caught up yet since having to miss a dose. I'm not sure what to do next since my pain and the disease seems to be getting worse instead of better on all these drugs. I have a rheumy appt the first of March - guess I'll approach her about what to do - though she's says I have UCTD - wonder how she'll explain these knots away. The last visit she gave me Skelaxin saying she thought my chest pain was muscular - even though I assured her it was not and I'd taken muscle relaxers with no relief before seeing her. I'm so tired of fighting this disease (whatever it is). I think the pain is getting the best of me. Guest guest
> > Hi Bee, I have a diagnosis. > > The doctor checked the lump on my jaw bone. He had me point to it with swab so he could make sure we were talking about the same spot. I like that. So he and I know we are communicating correctly. He examined while the nurse notated. He said " It is not in the bone, that is good " . He listened to what I said about how long this has been going on and what my symptoms have been. Then told me I have a mucosal cyst. He said " You do not have cancer. Although you had every reason to be concerned " . He said if it is not gone by the end of summer, he will put me into surgery and " pop " it out. > > Bee, i was really nervous because I have let this problem go on and on for so long. I am so scared of doctors to the point of anxiety and being irrational. I am so irrational that I will refuse to go. I am grateful that this is all it was. Especially since I waited so long. > > Now I need to get the cyst to go away because it bothers me so much. > > PS - I also have issues with my neck and shoulders being so tight I can't move them. My chiropractor has helped a lot but my right shoulder is still stuck. > +++Hi Shelby, That's good you got confirmation from the doctor that you have a cyst. Cysts are formed by your body to handle toxins so it should go down and finally disappear. They are nothing to be concerned about. You can have one for a much longer time than 3 months (the doctor's timing of when he should remove it) and it won't do any harm. I had many ovarian cysts and a bladder cyst once, in the past, and when I took cod liver oil and other supplements along with a healthy diet they stopped occurring. I haven't had one in 25 years. In the meantime you can do these treatments to help it: 1) Mix oil of oregano and olive oil 50/50 in a dropper bottle. Saturate a piece of gauze or bandaid with the mixture. Keep it on all night every night until it is gone. Oil of Oregano is just as powerful of a pain killer as morphine, and it also helps draw out toxins. 2) Take an Epsom salt bath, and put a warm to hot cloth on the cyst. The water should not be real hot of course. Heat helps draw out toxins and soothes pain. 3) Apply a warm to hot cloth on the cyst anytime you can. 4) Ensure you are taking the correct amounts of omega-3, and vitamins A, D & E along with other supplements. 5) Eliminate sources of caffeine such as tea or even decaf coffee and of course no chocolate. I hope that helps. Bee
