I guess I need to question my dr some more and find out more. I can't believe he would tell me something he didn't believe to be true. He's the dr who prescribed narcotics first and had to keep telling me to take them regularly. I was only taking them when I was desperate and he told me I needed to take them on a regular schedule to keep the pain at bay (if you will), that they work better that way than if I let the pain get unbearable. He's been prescribing me pain meds since I first started seeing him and this is the first time he's said anything about this law. I feel he must believe it to be true and I know that my prescription bottle now has the statement Federal Law Prohibits refill this time and I've never seen that on any of my pain meds before. I guess I'm more confused than ever and I certainly didn't mean to cause any problems by posting what my doctor told me yesterday.
