I think Reich qualifies, infact I'm certain we have menbers that are his

height.

I did two talk radio shows this am and suggested he join LPA.

and does that half an inch make a difference if others wanted to love,

support and embrace as a member of the human race?

....regardless of his label (dwarf vs average), his role or position in

life, his success or failure? or does the fact that has risen above

his " shortcomings " and been VERY successful irritate you folks?

this reader feels you (the collective naysayers) can't stand success in

others... what if your parents were like that? (i.e. what if they didn't

think you could be successful?) or were / are they? i sincerely love,

respect and support you if you didn't or aren't getting that support at home.

we are ALL worthy of love and respect.

Oh my!!! you mean there's thousands of Dwarfs out there that don't know

they're Dwarfs because of this 1/2 error?

Now I finally have my answer as to why LP has financial concerns and limited

revenue. Maybe we should anger some more people by increasing the height to

5'2 " and get even more members!

The article says he's 4'10 " . I thought the cutoff for LPA was 4'11 " .

Wouldn't that mean he's already qualified?

The article reads:

" The Democratic candidate ... is half-an-inch taller than someone who is

considered a dwarf, according to the Little People of America, a national

support organization for dwarfism. "

According to *who* in LPA? That would mean the LPA cutoff is four nine and

a half. What's going on here, Cara?

My understanding has always been that LPA's definition of dwarfism is

an adult height of 4'10 " or less as the result of a medical or

genetic condition. I'm quite sure that's right, but if it isn't, I

hope an LPA officer will post. I'll need to make some changes to LPA

Online!

Here's where the Herald reporter got into trouble. She wrote that

Reich is 4'10 " , but Reich has always claimed to be 4'10 1/2 " . She

interviewed me for the piece (although she didn't quote me), and I

told her that Reich, at 4'10 1/2 " , was a half-inch too tall to be

considered a dwarf, at least by LPA. So she got his height wrong, but

then correctly reported that he's a half-inch too tall for LPA. Hence

the confusion.

I dropped her an e-mail today and pointed out the problem, but she

hasn't gotten back to me.

As far as that goes, I have no recollection making any statement during that

interview whether Reich is/isn't a dwarf or could/should join LPA.

To be honest, I am getting tired of hearing about B. Reich.

As far as Governor of Massachusetts goes, all of my friends in Mass.

are voting for Mitt Romney. Go Mitt!!
