7th Annual Model Railroad Open House

Visitors are welcomed aboard on November 30th, 2001! Get a first-hand look at

Bill Aucott's transportation empire, a permanent private home N-scale railroad

layout which began well over 30 years ago. Now shared by three generations of

Aucott men -- and it's only the beginning.

It's an amazing room, jammed in an orderly way, with model trains, train parts,

and running G-scale trains suspended from the ceiling! Trains roll, whistles

blow, lights blink and flash as kids crane their heads for a better look while

parents and grandparents get a twinkle in their eye. Visitors have always

expressed their surprise at the amount of work and craftsmanship that goes into

the construction of a layout of this size. In almost every case, visitors have

asked to see what lies behind the scenes.

For the past six years, we have opened it's doors during the holiday season for

the enjoyment of friends, sharing all the loving hours of work, and all the

detailed thought that goes into this lifelong obsession. So, if you live in

LPA's District 2 region or find yourself in southern New Jersey during this

holiday season, and the romance of real trains, captured in miniature size

appeals to you and your family, stop by and say hello! But be warned. You

might like it too much, and find yourself creating a railroad, too!

*ADMISSION*

The Barty Memorial Adoption Fund (established, December 24, 2000) promises

a new legacy for short statured children available for adoption, and for the

children of these children. One filled with a previously unknown future. In

some international cases a society which seems only to shun them. Consistent

with this mission of alleviating the financial burden of prospective adoptive

parents, this year and every year thereafter we kindly request admission by

monetary donation (amount of your choice) to our annual holiday season model

railroad open-house. All charitable proceeds will be forwarded to the effort of

enabling awaiting children to succeed in life by helping them find refuge with

forever families.
