Regarding the aloe vera, my son takes it - the Coats version, liquid. It

has kept his stomach ulcer-free. The reason we know this is that he had a

gastric ulcer early in his illness, brought on by excessive ibuprofen. We

initially cleared it up with prilosec, which took care of it in three

months, as illustrated with a follow-up endoscopy. Then he started having

symptoms again, and this time we went natural with aloe vera. His symptoms

cleared up in no time, and so we have just kept him on it.

To add support for aloe vera, I drink a glass of the juice form (mixed

with apple juice) every so often. I used to have severe cramping and

discomfort in my stomach from the antibiotics, but it has cleared up

with the aloe vera. I drink Lily of the Desert brand as they guarantee

purity.

That was actually Franciex that was working on that, I was just

asking her if she had a formula for bubble bath. Sorry!

But Franciex, if you are willing to share your creation, I am also

interested.

Hi! My son has epilepsy. He has had it since age 2, and now is

6. We still see seizures around 4am to 7am only. He started on

dilantin, along with, clonazepam, and then lamictol. We have gotten

him off of dilantin, and are incresing the lamictol to try to stop

the seizures. I was wondering about autism? Is this a related

illness? Or an attribute or something connected to epilepsy? He has

learning disabilities. He is just now getting toilet trained, and he

has difficulty in speech. He also seems to have trouble listening or

interpreting what he is being told to do. I am wondering is this a

sign of autism as well? Thanks!

>>>>> My son used to have seizures at the same time, early morning. THe doc

kept increasing the drugs.... depakote, lamictal and neurontin at that point.

Then, a nurse friend plotted the half life of these drugs and all three ended

their cycle at the same time every once in a while. She found a seizure

trigger for my son.

We changed the dosing time by ONE OR TWO HOURS for one of the drugs and the

seizures stopped.

By the way, my son has not had a seizure in eight months now. We decreased

grains and added healthy brain fats about 1.5 years ago.

We did this in part because of the stuff ZOE posted here and other

discussions on the gut/brain connections, gluten and etc. And, in part because

my son's

biomom died of diabetes and we were looking to loose over 50 pounds gained

since on depakote.

Now, if finding a way to abort the aggressive squamous cell carcinoma of the

bladder where at hand, we would be ecstatic.

THere is NO connection between autism and epilepsy. Many people with

epilepsy and other seizure disorders are otherwise fully functional and fully

competent. You would never know they had a seizure disorder. Some even look

like

doctors, lawyers, school teachers, etc.
