Guest guest
Hello, I was interested in going to the LPA Conference in Toronto with my family. We probably couldn't go for the whole week. My 2 year old daughter has achondroplasia. The rest of us are average-sized. We don't really have any medical concerns with her at this point. We would probably go primarily to socialize and learn more about her dwarfism. Since we can't go the whole week, do you have any suggestions when we should go? Thanks. Guest guest
Hi Beth, This is stated dates for this years LPA Conference Will be kind of strange because of the ongoing World Dwarf Games and some tweaking with the calendar. But if I were you, and your time/budget is limited this is what I would consider. Arriving Saturdy, July 14th. Saturday evening wwe will be offering tickets for individuals to go see the Lion King. Tickets are a bit pricey ($65-75) , but it is a Broadway production which many people know and will pay for. First thing Sunday will start a Marathon day of Medical Workshops which are geared for LP's and families to learn more about the medical implications of dwarfism. The LPA Medical Advisory Board Members will be presenting the workshops. Child Care will be offered during the workshops. Sunday evening will be a very special " free " family entertainment , at the hotel . Monday and Tuesday will be additiional workshops, tours of the city , the fantastic Ontario Science Center etc, with fashion show and talent shows in the evening. Depending on how long you can stay , our banquet will be on Wed. night, which is a day earllier than usual. For those wishing to take in Niagra Falls , trips will be on Thursday. I hope this helps and feell free to ask more questions Marge Carlisle 2001 Conference Chair On Fri, 5 Jan 2001 11:39:53 -0500 " robert pszonak " <rpszonak@...> writes: >Hello, > I was interested in going to the LPA Conference in Toronto >with my family. >We probably couldn't go for the whole week.
