Rainy,

Ya I do the layered clothing thing. I look kinda silly though, I have on my

sweat pants, a mid length night gown, a night shirt over that and then my

robe. the only problem is that I sleep on flannel sheets and sometimes I get

stuck to them and can't roll over LOL. I will try the hot water bottle

thing, thanks, with the age of technology we're in, we seem to forget the

basics!!

I had to laugh about you getting stuck to the flannel sheets. That is why I

don't wear anything to bed. It's hard enough to roll over without clothes on,

let alone with all those " bindings. " I know one thing we can be thankful for!

That we aren't living in the 1800s and having to wear corsets! I get

claustrophobic if the blanket gets wrapped around my feet and I can't get

loose. Imagine having to wear those horrible corsets and those dresses that

weighed a ton! I know how much they weighed! I was in a play once and had to

wear an old fashioned dress and it had so many layers! It was heavy! And we

did this play at the beginning of summer and happened to hit a heat spell of

100 degree weather. Imagine all that and under stage lights! A lot of us

almost passed out. But the play was a hit!

But I love the hot water bottles. Or I use a heating pad. I also love the

little space heaters. But the most inexpensive one, I think, would be the hot

water bottles. I sure wish you weren't going through that horrible power

problem! Oregon is also feeling the effects of that. But I am in Washington,

so I think I am OK. Oh, when you ask the power company about baseline

quantity, is that what you called it? Be sure to have some proof of your

disability to give them. That will help a lot. A note from your doc, a

parking permit, whatever. I don't think you have to be on disability. Not

everyone has to go on it. If people are rich and can afford it, then there is

no need for State help.

All,

I love to wear the Long s shirt and bottoms that men (and women)

wear under their clothes.

Problem always was, moving between the sheets without feeling like a big

piece of velcro.

Last year my husband needed a long sleeve warm shirt to go UNDER his

Dress Shirt. He wanted the Long top, but knew it was too bulky,

etc.

Well, I found this type of Long that is for your Dress Clothes.

Yes, thin, and made out of another fiber blend. But still with that

great warmth.

I bought him a set.

He absolutely loved them! The pants and shirt just blended with his

body, and you never knew it was under his Suit.

Well... I eventually " stole " them from him!!! Or, better term should be

" barrowed " them. And I can turn oven in the sheets with these.

Oh... I do not remember the brand name (tag cut out) nor do I remember

the blend of fiber they were made of.

But I do remember...

I got them at one of the " Mart Bros. " stores... let me think...

I think it was Mr. Wal Mart. Yes. Because K, his brother, did not

carry them at that time.

While visiting my parents in cold NH, I was introduced to " Cuddle Duds " , an

extremely warm, yet lightweight top and bottom set worn under one's clothes.

(They kept me very toasty in sub freezing temps for 2 weeks!) They are a

microfiber made of cotton and nylon. They can be found at major department

stores, or probably somewhere on the 'Net!! I got mine at a little boutique

in New London, NH called " LizAnn's " which can probably ship them to you if

you want!

in paper where it has been officially proven in a recent study that they do

not cause cancer. Judy in AZ
