Hi Rainy,

I'm feeling under the weather so haven't replied to your earlier posts, I'll

try to tomorrow. BTW, no offence taken about the weight thing :) Anyway,

there are different grades of wax on the market. I have a Therabath machine

and the wax is like velvet. It comes off so easily. My brother in law tried

it and his arms are really hairy. It was funny cuz' the hairs started poking

right thru the wax. It was weird, it also came off his arm/hands with no

problem.

I used the therabath on my hands three times today. Am chilled today and

even had to get into the hot tub twice, must being getting the bug that's

going around. couldn't seemed to get warm. Ok, I'm off to bed with a wool

blankie :)

Rainey Sue,

Don't mean to butt into your conversation....but I'm gonna anyway. You can

buy paraffin wax at the grocery store (in the canning section). It is used

for canning, so I was told. Also, they sell it at beauty supply discount

stores, in my area one store that sells it is called Sally's. Feels

wonderful. Tery - FL

P. S. Just make sure that it doesn't get above 120 degrees if you use a crock

pot.

Rainy Sue,

My boyfriends mom has seen it as Sally's here in Mobile too. I also saw the

Parrifin Wax machine at sam's. If i remember correctly it was a reasonable

price too. I will check the next time i go cause i was thinking of getting

one for jesse since his fingers and wrist are so affected by the JRA and his

left foot.

Thanks Tery.

I was wondering about the stuff at the grocery store. I used to make candles

and that is what I used. I sure wish I had a crock pot now! I'd take some

candles from around the house and throw them in! LOL. How do you check the

heat on your crock pot?

~Rainy Sue

PS. You didn't butt in! =)

I'm sorry , do you mean *at* Sally's? I have a Sally Beauty Supply just

around the corner. If that is what you mean, I will check. I need to go

there, anyhow, they have some lotion I really like.

I ask bcs when I have done the paraffin wax it feels greasy to where it comes

off easily. So I was wondering if I melted candle wax that it would come off

as easily.

Rainy Sue,

The package that came with mine just said paraffin wax. There is nothing

special about it.

marbles today. now that i have the kids feeling better jason is now sick and

he is such a big baby. He called me at least 30 times today while he was

working and he called his mom just as many times. Good thing local calls are

free on our cell phones. With the rain we are having the kids are getting

cabin fever and making me nuts. lol

sorry for being so air headed.
