Yes,me too, I am always cold. I even have a little foot pad I can slip

my feet into while I am on the computer. I sleep in a waterbed and I

have two blankets and a comforter covering me. My joints start hurting

about 24 hrs before a change in weather.

Well,I had my ultrasound yesterday and everything looked okay except

they couldn't find my gall bladder. I was on the table for 2-1/2 hrs

while 3 different technicians tried to locate it. They kept asking me if

I was sure it had never been removed. Finally they called in a doctor

and he couldn't find it anywhere. They finally said I could leave. My

sisterwas waiting for me and she was worried why I was in there for so

long,when I told her,she said,well doesn't that just figure,you came

here and left your gall bladder at home.

I was down at Sunnybrook Hospital all day today and all day tomorrow

taking an additional course with Patient Partners. I am so tired from

working my brain,I probably won't get all my mail read until Monday.

Welcome to any new people I may have missed.

Hugs

June

Pam,

The cold is my worst enemy. Just like you I chill all the way to the bone.

I have an electric blanket for my bed and one in my favorite chair.

Sometimes I have to take a hot bath to shake the chill. Then after

getting a chill, I tense my muscles and wind up with a fibro flare. I hate

winter anymore. I used to love the snow, but now it represents being house

bound and pain. At least I have all my good friends on the Internet to

keep me company :)

Hi Pam, a and everybody!

I, too, suffer from the effects of the cold. As long as I am toasty warm (I

surround myself with fleece year round, as it's seemingly always damp and

chilly here in the Northwest!!) Hot chocolate and warm bath help, too!

Interestingly enough, when I was back East (in Northwest NH) I wasn't ever

really cold (even when I got on skies twice!)because it's a dry cold in NE.

Pam,

, my 11 yr old son who has JRA with related lung disease gets very cold

down to the bones even though he runs a low grade fever and when we have a

cold spell coming (we live in alabama) he hurts but also we can tell when we

are going to have lots of rain and tornados but the amount of his pain. He

also hurts when it gets very hot and humid. the weather we have been having

has been sort of comfortable for him but right before a major change in

weather he will get very ill. Watching him tells me when to keep the tv on

the wheater channel. he is a better warning single then the weatherman.
