Guest guest
Jon, Amen to that Jon. The longest I spent in the hospital was 3 weeks. It was during my first wedding anniversary. My husband brought the cake top into the hospital and we ate it outside in the gardens. Hospitals are definitely NOT fun. a ----- Original Message ----- From: Jon <apex@...> < egroups> Sent: Friday, January 12, 2001 7:23 PM Subject: Re: [ ] Digest Number 1555 > As Rush Limbaugh would say, Rhoda, Mega Mega MEGA Dittos to THAT one! Joan, where did you get the test, and what is the threshold for detection? My breastmilk was tested at DDI, and the result was .002 mcg/g. I have about the same number of amalgams as you. I believe I can explain your number: you have stored Hg in you body, including brain, but the breastmilk mercury, like a blood level, isn't going to reflect the total body burden. Apparently, you're not going to pass any of that body burden through the milk. You are fortunate to have such a favorable result.
Guest guest
, I had it tested through DDI also. I do feel fortunate, but I guess I'm not off the hook for someday replacing these amalgams. Thanks for helping this make sense... Taxes, benefits (if any), overhead, insurance, etc. sometimes get factored in with salary for a cost. I'm not saying the total cost in your area would rise to that level, but salary & cost are probably not equal. Not here, aides are considered part time and thus get no benefits. A few years back they changed the way they paid bus drivers, before the route they drove figured into their pay. They changed that and according to some of my bus driver friends the older, experienced bus drivers lost pay under the new method, while the new benefits they aquired were not appreciated. Instead of a " blue flu " (where the police all stay home) we had a " yellow flu " and most of the bus drivers stayed home!
