This is why I asked the list if anyone had used the TOPAMAX for pain.

The NEURONTIN caused too many problems. He switched me to it.

I read a lot on it. I even went into other sites where the people who

took it for what it was intended initially. And those were all stating

it made the weight just " fall off " .

Well, the Doctor did warn me it would make me loose a LITTLE weight. But

according to these folks, you loose a lot.

One site had a psychiatrist (sp?) stating that only his patients using

this were loosing up to 60 lbs EASILY on the higher doses of this. In

his writings he was suggesting they do research into this drug for help

in weight loss. He saw very good " possibilities " for it.

(wouldn't it be nice to find something to help with the pain, and weight

loss all in one tiny pill!)

And believe me, my doctor wanted me to also take " the higher doses " of

this for the management of pain.

So... that did it for me. I decided not to finish taking this one. But,

I did try to take it a few days. And then I saw 2 lbs. go. I did not

need them gone! I guess it could have just been coincidence, but I did

not chance it.
