Hi Shirley. I am sorry you are flaring. I hope the Imuran kicks in soon

and you get some relief. The WBC's are often elevated in inflammatory

diseases. The normal is NOT 700. The normal is between 4,500 and 11,000.

I can't tell you about increasing your prednisone. I've never taken it.

You really have to let your doctor decide what dosage you need. As far as

the Remicade, several people here have had good results from it. They like

you to be on MTX along with the remicade, and I don't think you are on it.

I wish I could do something to ease your pain. If you are in really bad

shape, maybe a shot of steroids will help. You can go to the emergency

room and they can probably help you. I will pray for your pain to be

relieved.
