Elaine,

My ob/gyn is wonderful. i also have endormitosis and had surgery last oct for

it. i had some problems with the rings on my tubes and he removed those and

is treating me with injections for the endormitosis. He also said that if i

wanted more children in the future that he could help even though i had my

tubes tied.

His office is at Mobile ob/gyn at provodince out pat. His name is Dr. Kirby

Plessla he also has other partners. i have seen one of them but Dr. Plessla

is a wonderful dr. makes me feel like iam his only pt. and i am deathly

afraid of going to the dr.

my boyfriends mother also sees him and she says he is the best ob/gyn she has

ever had and she has seen drs. in fl, al, miss, and ga. she had to have the

whole works down almost 2 yrs ago and she said she didn't even have much pain

after. before she had her hyst. her uterus was prolapsing and he stay at the

office for hours after they closed to fit her for a ring to help her until

the surgery.

i am sorry i don't mean to ramble on but he is a great dr. and if

needs a good ob/gyn then he is a great one.

tell her good luck and i understand completely how she feels.

shelly

My mom had to have DES injections when she was pregnant with me. I

was wondering, since this is the reason I had difficult getting

pregnant, then later was told by one Dr. that my 2 kids were

miracles, of courses I knew that! Now back on subject.. Since the

evil stuff has caused other problems I was wondering if anyone has

read ant thing about a relation between DES and RA. Thanks in advance

for the help!

Thanks to all the ones who has responded to my freezing. I now know I

ain't crazy! Even tho the ones at the office would disagree! lol!!

Thanks!

Pam

Elaine, Look in the Phone book and see if Dr. E. STAMM is still in

Mobile. I think he last was working out of the new Providence Hospital,

but it has been 6 years since I was there.

Do not see another in his group unless she wants to. I do not know who

is in with him. I never liked the others, anyway! But he is good. Real

good, she may have to wait awhile for appointment.

I know that Dr. Bedsole is not a OBGYN, but he is outstanding

surgeon.

Look him up. I would trust him to operate on God. And God would too.

I will ask my sister some others. She was a Surgical Nurse for years

there, she worked with, " the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly... " and believe

me, she can tell a lot of tales!

Let me know if you have luck with these for your daughter,

Susie

Pam,

Women exposed in utero to DES reported more allergies, autoimmune disorders

Dear Pam,

I have some form of " inflammatory arthritis " but am sero-negative.

I am also the daughter of DES. I have not read anything about the

RA connection and would also be interested in any information that

is available.

I DO know several things about DES DAUGHTERS and GRANDDAUGHTERS..

both ME and my DAUGHTER are at much much higher risk for

" clear cell cancer " one of the most deadly. I had a total

hysterectomy in 1995 due to " continuous bleeding " and also

several " abnormal pap smears " , however, my OBGYN happens to

" specialize " in DES daughters, and told me that I need to have

a pap smear every year in spite of the hysterectomy. He also

told me that my daughter is " high risk " . My daughter had a

very difficult time getting pregnant.. she had to use some kind

of " fertility drugs " to conceive 2 of her three children. She

now has severe endometriosis and is in the process of finding a

doctor in Mobile, AL who will treat her since one doctor is

recommending a hysterectomy and she is only 33 years old and

they are not sure if they want more children at this point..

(her youngest is 2 years old). Interestingly enough, I did

not have a problem conceiving either of my 2 children..

was born 11 months after we got married.. was our

" surprise gift " 5 years after that.

I wonder, had you been told that YOUR daughters (if you have

one) were " high risk " ?

Take care,

elaine
