Did you look into finding out more about dwarfism such as from the web page of LPA? Not saying there is anything wrong, but its helpful since you never knew that you had dwarfism to check out a specialist in your area that specializes with people of short stature? Guest guest
Kathy In our chapter of Little People of America we also have a little boy with EVC and his parents are of average height. Guest guest
I live in land. I did speak to one man who had a son with EVC, but I lost contact. I have never seen another child with EVC. I dont think my daughter knows that she is a little person. I would like to make contact with other parents who could possibly help me with some of the questions that I have. Thanks
Guest guest
Kathy, You don't mention where you live but there are alot of Parent Groups within LPA. So giving us a city and state would help us give you direction
Guest guest
Dear Listserv friends, I just wanted to assure you all that from listening to Kris on the phone when she called here this morning, that she does sounds genuine and sincere in her search for friendship. I also understand that their is only so much this list can do for her, but if some of you just want to drop her a note and assure her that she is not in this boat alone, then I think that would help her out a great deal. I suggested the Connections newsletter to her, which I think will be a great avenue to what she is seeking. Kris may I also suggest to give some of these other people time to reply, because not everyone has time to catch up on there email everyday. Just be patient in other words and stay in touch with those you've already formed a bond with. And just remember you are not out there alone. Guest guest
" A friend in need is a friend in deed " I know that may sound cliché, but ever so true. Boy, I opened a whole new can of worms with this friend search thing. But please don't give me any credit for this, because I am benefiting from this too. Keep it up ok and don't just let it be a passing phase, because you may mean more to someone out there than you will ever know! Guest guest
To all the southerners who have come out of the woodwork.... My fiancee is originally from Muscle Shoals Alabama, less than 20 minutes away from Killen where one of his best friends live. During his entire life he never met any other LP's in Alabama. Now we're seeing people from Huntsville, Killen, and Jasper ,TN on this list, it's great. We now live in New England but we trek down there as often as we can to visit our family and friends. Maybe someday we should try to all get together, I know that you can never have too many friends and would love to meet other LP's from his " hometown " . Take care! ~Rose
