TIP: How to get clothes out of the bottom of the washer.

Barbecue tongs. Get the ones that have handles to put your fingers in. Don't

get ones that are like oversized tweezers. I still haven't figured out how to

get change out easily.

Yeah, one doesn't want to fall in washing machine and get all washed up. :-)

Neither does one want to over load their machine and have it dancing all over

the place. Or putting too much detergent in the machine. :-)

I'm glad to see that several companies are now making bottom loading washing

machines cause not everyone can benefit from using the top loading machines.

For now I use a long, plastic spoon to get my intimate garments out since

those I have difficulty in reaching while standing on my stool to reach into

machine.

In the future I would like to check out some product that would be made of

plastic since I don't want to use anything that would scratch the machine tub

or make it rust.

As far as " checking for change, " just make it a habit to check your pockets

of your clothes before they get tossed into the machine. Whether its for

change, gum, pens, what have you cause it cannot only ruin your clothes, but

the machine as well. I learned it the hard way. :-( If change does fall out

in machine I would try to use a plastic grabber to get it out.

Speaking of change, I make it a habit to check for change while I'm at the

car wash, or a drive in window. That is where I find a lot of change. I

guess it's the money detector in me. lol :-) It comes in handy though,

whatever change one finds it is still money. No change is too small for me.

:-)

When you do laundry there is so much involved. What kind of detergent liquid

or powder? What brand? Do you need pre-treater? Fabric softener? Bleach?

So much just to get one's clothes washed.

One gripe I have with buying products is I would like to save money and buy

the larger products whether its laundry detergent or cat litter, but they are

so heavy so I wind up buying the smaller ones.

Free plug for Danny Black...................Danny Black's Beta Testers, which

are a long pair of barbecue tongs, with this rubbery paint stuff on the ends to

help grip the clothes. My

suggestion to pick up change, would be to somehow attach a magnet to each

gripper.................Now Danny, where is my free Beta Tester?? lol Oh I

couldn't live without my Beta

Tester, by the way. It's been a lifesaver for me. Of course you can make them

like Nick said, too.

Have a nice day! :)

The tongs are great to reach clothes, but to reach change I keep a roll of

wide masking tape (for lint removal) , but try wrapping a piece on the tongs

and then reach for the coins. Works for me, I'm 3'10 " .

hey y'all!

I don't know if I ever mentioned it on here- but, since you are talking

about washers and laundry, I wanted to mention it before I forgot. I bought

my first washer and dryer a few months ago. I never knew they made front load

washers before a year ago. But, I got a wonderful, amzing front load washer

and dryer! I have been in heaven when washing clothes! I don't have to climb

up to do anything and I don't have risk my life by dangiling over the side of

the washer trying to fish clothes out of the bottom! (My friends used to get

a big kick out of that!)
