Guest guest
Most drs and nurses are required to take so many classes or seminars for work related credits to keep licensed in jobs..just like most degreed occupations....so many extra credits a year .....I know when I was going to school for radiography technologist I would have to put in so many hours of extra classes/seminars to keep certified....nursing does same ...drs too....especially if in a practice with other drs....most good drs are always taking extra classes to get more letters after their names too......Judy inAZ
Guest guest
Hi all: I feel real fortunate that my dr. keeps up with latest info, lobbies congress for more funds for research and is so sympathetic and understanding regarding my disease. He has actually put his arm around me when I've cried, he meets with my husband after every visit to keep him up to date on my condition, moods and medicines. He takes the time to explain everything and no question is dumb to him. There should be more drs who really, really care about their patients. If you are not comfortable then please find another, this is your health and life you are dealing with and YOU are the most important person involved. Guest guest
Rainy, This is interesting, glad the nurse was honest. I like my Rheumy because he is always open to me researching any new drugs. I was the one who ask for the Metho, as an injection. I learned about that right here. If I can go back on the Metho, he is going to do. He will even tell me to go look it up and let him know. I like that he almost admits he can't keep up with it. Glad you shared this with us. Guest guest
FYI - in Colorado nurses do NOT have to take any classes to keep up inorder to keep their license - BUT usually the hospital or place of employment makes them.
